Behind the Strings 🎾
What I do is more than just stringing tennis rackets.
It takes stress resistance, discipline, concentration, precision and an incredible amount of perseverance.
For three weeks, we work behind the scenes at the very highest level of professional tennis. A team of 24 stringers, representing 11 different nationalities, working day after day — often 12 hours or more, and sometimes up to 20 hours in a single day.
And throughout all of it, the standard remains the same: no excuses, no shortcuts, no room for mistakes.
Building a team that can work under that kind of pressure for three weeks, while staying focused, professional and united, is a challenge in itself. Different languages, different cultures, different personalities — all working towards one goal.
We are probably among the hardest-working people at any tournament, yet most of our work happens completely behind the scenes.
While the world watches the players, we quietly make sure they have what they need to perform at their best.
More than 8,000 rackets strung in just three weeks.
To most people, that number probably means very little. But for us, it represents thousands of hours of concentration, precision, teamwork and commitment.
There are only around 90 stringers in the world working at this level.
Being part of that small group is something I am incredibly proud of.
But there is one thing that makes all of this possible, and that is my family.
To my wife and my family: thank you. ❤️
I know it isn't easy when I'm away for weeks at a time, missing moments at home while I'm giving everything I have to my work.
But you support me because you know how much I love what I do — and how much it means to me to have the privilege of working at the very highest level of our profession.
This job takes a lot from you.
But it also gives you something very special:
The honour of doing what I love at the absolute highest level.
We string in silence.
The players make the noise. 🎾#wilsontennis #wilsonstringingteam #stringerslife #usopen2026 by @wim_stringlab

One year in the making!

For about a year now, Alexander Bublik has been playing with a racket kept almost entirely in the shadows.

Now the black gets a touch of gold.

Created by Alexander Bublik. Built for his game.
