Join Sustainable Merton for an informal online lunchtime discussion to share your thoughts, reflect on the film and explore what needs to happen next in our local communities. The film brings together evidence from leading UK experts on the climate and nature crisis, exploring what it means for our health, food supplies, economy and national security - as well as the positive action we can take in response. From sculpture and ceramics, to oil, acrylic and watercolour, to pencil, photography and glass; the artwork on display at the Wimbledon Art Trail organised by @commonworksgallery covered all mediums and was truly inspiring. Here are a few snaps from our visit to @arthousewimbledon on the trail, where we spoke to the artists about their brilliant creations. It really is a beautiful day! At Wimblecomm we love nothing more than helping our local community & environment to flourish. And that’s exactly the objective of today’s little mission: helping our friends at @mertongardenstreets, part of @sustainablemerton, to deliver plants to local Merton residents this Sustainable September, in advance of the upcoming Planting Days on the weekend of 19-20 September. If you’re not already signed up to plant or support, and want to get involved in the next one, head to our website where we’ve posted info on how to get involved. For those who are involved this month - happy planting and enjoy nurturing. A few extra photos in here of some gardens in bloom 🌺 and a very happy bee 🐝 that we spotted on our travels. 🔗 Link in bio ⬆️ by @wimblecomm
