Small update, not done much recently as life hasn't been the easiest but it was nice to see it out in the daylight. Absolutely amazing day had at @rollhardd, thank you to @usuallybrokencars, @ledger_m and James for letting me tag along, good seeing @thatgrey997 as well, thank you to the team from rollhard, it takes a lot to organise a show like this, and well organised it is! Annual catch up with @johnludwickjr and @kaylagiordano, who kindly told me I have a twin brother over in the States. 🤣 by @wimbles14

Throwback because life has been so stupidly busy I've not seen the beetle in weeks. I might try and do some more work soon, I might not. I need to get in a better head space, I know that much, but easier said than done sometimes. Anyways, it's a week until my birthday and @rollhardd so I'll hopefully see everyone there for some celebrations. taken in Old Warden Aerodrome by @wimbles14

Small update as I managed to work on Emily for a bit today.
Definitely had some front end damage in the past, some I knew about, some has surprised me, but we carry on, I'll replace the lower half of the wheelwell, but I'm hoping to save the area where the brake reservoir sits and the driverside front quarter, the passenger front quarter has sustained quite a bit of damage, combined with nearly 70y of rust, it's probably better to completely replace that one.

I've thought about this for some time, and decided it's only fair to post the good and the bad of this restoration.
When I removed the headliner it's become very clear the ragtop has been retrofitted some time before my ownership. And as you can see from these pictures it's going to need some work to keep the ragtop but nothing that can't be overcome and it's still a numbers matching car. #vwbeetle #classiccars #restocal #happiness #nofilter by @wimbles14
