"This just makes sense"

@lizzieridout isn't wrong.

After a summer hosting some local and not so local chefs, we started the conversation with @williesphillys and it all seemed kinda obvious.

Big messy sandwiches with big dirty pints. Duh!

The excitement from the team behind Willies and a adaptation of their already quality offering to match the boozer was instant and we just had to make it happen!

The menu is already looking incredible and they're currently working on something special for Sunday's 👀

Launching 01/10/26

Mornin...

Little favour to ask!

Brighton is an incredible hub of independent hospitality businesses like ourselves. It's becoming even more difficult to keep our chins up when we have to increase prices, do incredibly long hours and generally work 100x harder than we ever have just to make ends meet.

The government have a million ways in which they can find extra cash but it shouldn't be from something we all need. A pint or a glass of wine with a mate, somewhere to be alone while still being seen, to make new friends or to be apart of something.

A 10% drop in VAT would have an incredible impact not only on our business but our wellbeing to.

We need our pubs, coffee shops, restaurants, music venues, odd little joints that make no sense but we need em!

Head to the website and sign the petition.

Another boss weekend in the book ✔️

Very much appreciate everyone who came out to show love for @williesphillys this weekend. Plenty people asking how long they'll be with us, it's a residency so they're here for the foreseeable! Plenty time to get ya cheese steak fix 🙏🏻

Props to @eddy_rocksteddy on their first time behind the Joana, played a blinder! Same again next year lads?!

@ollybvinyl x @dj_zr0 on support, never fail to bring the tune.. they're back with us arse end of October 🤘🏻

Senor Mick brought some heavy disco and I'm fairly certain he lashed on some garage at the end, sensational stuff!

Today, @williesphillys are back from midday and @djtomyum spins tune from 3pm. Normally means the likes of @majduckworth is somewhere to be found to 😉

Big love

October is nearly here so I thought I’d round up all the DJ slots I’m doing and put them in one place. Of course I made the poster myself, and yes that is literally just my handwriting*. If it works, it works.

Anyway, exciting news: I’m starting a new regular slot at the delightful Black Dove in Brighton, and I’ll be there on the first Friday of every month. And in October you get me for a bonus slot on the 24th too.

And I’m continuing my residency at the charming @alphabetbrighton too, on the second Saturday of the month.

And in amongst that I’m back behind the joana at one of my faves @windmillbrighton on Friday 16th.

You’ll also find me flinging records about for the VERY exciting PICKLEFEST that @ternrestaurant are running, at the brunch on Sunday 18th.

And I am of course very excited to be doing my first solo slot at @onair_1btn on Friday 30th.

And then I’m heading up to the inimitable @strinesnightingale to spend the best day of the year spinning spooky things at the @treemusic_nestival Halloween Party, of course, where I will definitely be grinning like I am in that last photo.

Woo!

*The love for hand lettering stems from the fact I was the kid who liked making her handwriting/schoolwork look as neat as possible. I’d rather like to go back and tell my younger self where the obsession has led me! by @windmillbrighton
