More activities and more details will be announced closer to December, so keep an eye out on the social media pages of @stb_sg and @visit_singapore.

Good news for barkadas and officemates who regularly book rides together! GrabCar Group Ride now automatically splits fares among passengers, with savings of up to 50% per person compared to booking a solo ride.

The feature lets up to three passengers share one GrabCar, with up to three drop-off points. Each rider can see their share of the fare upfront, so there's no need to manually compute or chase payments after the trip. You can also save your regular ride buddies and frequently used locations for easier bookings.

To try it, simply open the Grab app, select GrabCar Group Ride, enter your pickup and drop-off points, and invite up to two friends through a link. Once everyone adds their destinations, confirm the booking and you're good to go!

SEE YOU LATER, GLICO MAN 🏃

If you’re headed to Osaka, Japan for the holidays, you might need to make a little adjustment to your itinerary. The iconic Glico man is taking a break from his post in Dotonbori as it’s scheduled for renovations beginning December 1, 2026.

According to Ezaki Glico, a new seventh-generation design will be unveiled in Spring 2027. The upcoming renovations are also the first in 13 years.

Don’t fret; the new design will still feature the same image of a runner with raised arms. “We’d like to continue using the runner as a symbol of our commitment to delivering health and wellness to society,” said a Glico spokesperson.

Set along the Dotonbori River, the Glico man’s image was first illuminated in 1935 and has become a major tourist spot in Osaka, Japan. It has undergone through six generations of designs since, with the current design launched in 2014.
