Early in the morning, a goose marched right out in front of my car. She looked so determined that I immediately pulled over to help. A girl on a moped had the exact same idea; she blocked traffic on one side while I stopped it on the other. Here is what happened next... taken in Echo Park, Los Angeles by @windyomalley

Face Book friends worldwide.

I’m looking for 2 different things please send me your opinion or advice.

Please please

1. A way to help two young people I know to begin modeling runway, print anything. Please send me any information. Please any advice to help a model get started and please don’t tell them to become an influencer!!! Good agent? Good anything?????

2. Actual facts about Colleges.
Do you know a college in the USA and abroad that is a space/culture of learning and happiness. That means the educators are paid and respected and the individual learning is too empowered and respected. I do not care about ranking mostly about culture of respect and happiness. Where students can get the classes they want, heard and included. I would love a list of 20-100 institutions. This needs to be a review and truth from current students and thoughtful educators!!

I’ll start from young people I know :
1. Scripps
2. Pitzer
3.Oberlin
4. Lewis and Clark
5. Berkeley in a small program
6. Smith
7. Emerson
8. UC Santa Cruz (after 1-2 years of unhappiness but housing and classes are challenging)

Picture of my eldest when she was two to get your attention. 💗 by @windyomalley

Spaces are still available—join us tonight at 6 PM at LACC!
Neighborhood Council volunteers have worked tirelessly to produce the only live forum for CD13. This is a truly open and unbiased opportunity—no money, no sponsorships, just a fair space for candidates and community members to connect. This is what democracy should look like.
We’ll have pizza, drinks, translation services, ASL support, and parking available.
Come see your CD13 candidates in person. Edendale (Echo Park, Silverlake, Los Feliz) Echo Park NCSilverlake Community Church by @windyomalley

On January 9, Alberto Gutierrez was sitting in front of my house, taking a much-deserved break from his job at a construction site next to us, when weaponized, masked ICE agents pulled up, tackled him without speaking to him, injured him, and threw him into a van. They were here for no more thsn ine minute.
Since then, he had been held in a detention facility in Riverside. He had not yet had his day in court. His family had been told he would be released on bail.
Yesterday, he died after complications from an illness he developed while being held in poor detention conditions.
Please share his story. Here is how you can help.
Alberto did not receive justice in life, but there must be accountability in his death.
I am heartbroken , I can’t stop crying, I’m disgusted that our country would detain — and ultimately lose — a man who showed up every day to his construction job, paid taxes and was a good citizen and neighbor. Now his wife has been left with nothing. It’s estimated that our taxes paid over $50,000 to kidnap, detain and kill this good loving family man. Let his name ring from the mountains. Alberto Gutierrez Reyes. He will not die in vain. Shame on the usA. Decent good citizens is all we have to fight and beat these monsters. Here is how you can help. Share this !!

Let's talk about World Series victory night and the LAPD
Were you in Echo Park on November 1 after the Dodgers won the World Series? Did you have an interaction with the LAPD? Good or bad, the Echo Park Neighborhood Council wants to hear from you. You can absolutely remain anonymous.
We're compiling information about the police presence on our streets that night so we can have an informed conversation.
