It’s the last day of August! My older kids have been in school for a few weeks now and my youngest starts tomorrow.

It’s funny how quickly we fall back into our school routine. It feels like summer has been over for much longer than it really has.

We went to many beautiful beaches while we were home visiting family. One of our favorites was Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. If you live in MA, I definitely recommend checking it out.

An ode to the tomato sandwich; in which the tomato is the star of the show. (Btw- how gorgeous are these tomatoes?)
This is pretty much summer in a sandwich. I could eat one every day. There’s so many variations of the tomato sandwich- I’ve eaten it with bacon, pesto, turkey. You name it; it can be added.

But my favorite? It’s the classic. Good bread, tomato, mayo(has to be Duke’s,) sharp cheddar cheese, and fresh basil. I also prefer the bread toasted.
