Wine Unify was born in a time that felt dark. It was built upon the belief that access and opportunity in the world of wine can change a life, a career, and ultimately an industry. We knew that change would take time, and that significant change requires diligence in the face of hardship. No matter what, we will continue to spread hope, love, inspiration, and education within and beyond our incredible community. We will be a light for all of those who need us.

For perspective — our founding goal our first year was to give ten awards. The turnout to support our mission by so many generous organizations was so strong that we gave 20. This growth continued. We now have given 182 awards and have impacted the lives of nearly 160 recipients. We are 30 strong on our mentorship team, and we are led by one of the most dedicated and inspiring women in wine — Alicia Towns Franken. Today we want to remind you that we are here, and we continue to work for change.

Our Elevate WSET Level 3 Awards are open until November 15. Reading these applications, hearing your stories, and giving these awards is one of the most joyous times of the year for us because we see our work in action through our recipients’ successes. We encourage you to take a deep breath, look around at this beautiful community, and apply to be a part of this change. We cannot wait to help you spread the light. by @wineunify

To say it was a beautiful evening would be an understatement. UNIFY Boston brought together Wine Unify mentors, recipients, supporters, and an incredible set of advocates for diversity in the wine industry. The Champagne flowed, the laughter and love filled the room, and the extraordinary cuisine from @myersandchang filled our stomachs while also healing our souls. This is the purpose of wine — to bring us together. Thank you to the incredible set of supporters who made this evening possible. We are grateful and moved everyday by your dedication to our mission. As the final months of the year sneak up on us, as we prepare for another round of awards, as we gear up for our incredible UNIFY dinner with @myersandchang — we want to take a moment to remind the world who we are and what we work toward everyday. Our team of outstanding mentors, our recipients, our supporters, and YOU make change possible. Every. Single. Moment. Matters. Let’s pave this road for those behind us, and remember that no distance is too far when we walk together. None are free until all are free.
