Been drifting thru life for the longest, but now serving LARGE AND IN CHARGE vibes in these epic shots from the @diasporas_now performance at @humberstreetgallery 😤Have always existed in my own creative realm, but am now in the midst of a huge reawakening. Pretty amazing when you can provide inspiration to yourself 💐💐 Don't need validation or approval from external institutions, just gonna keep doing the ting innit. Next up on our lineup for this Sunday is DJ Winggold, founder of Unbound Events, a London-based platform using music to elevate minorities and raise awareness of social issues. Since 2017, Unbound has hosted regular events, the monthly Unbound Riddims show on Netil Radio, and panels centred around race and culture.As an artist, DJ Winggold has supported acts including Giant Swan, Kode9, Marie Montexier, Elena Colombi and Bruce, and has played at venues such as Fabric, FOLD, Corsica Studios and Griessmuehle. He has also appeared at Pitchfork Festival London, Waterworks Festival, Field Maneuvers and Kallida Festival, as well as on HÖR Berlin and New York’s The Lot Radio.His sound draws on Afrofuturism, hypnotic techno, tribal rhythms, sub-bass and UK-influenced club music, creating something brooding, atmospheric, spacey and lush. This approach also shapes Unbound’s curation, which explores the crossover between techno, bass and the hardcore continuum.Through Unbound, he has hosted artists such as Batu, Skee Mask, object blue, Simo Cell, SHYBOI, Tristan Arp, SPFDJ, Afrodeutsche, Mor Elian, OK Williams and the Zenker Brothers. Yea @howlworldwide, literally wtf happened there?! 🥵Was playing at like 7:30pm in these vids and was expecting a half-empty stage... Look in the first vid and you can see someone climbing the rafters 😳 Defs wasn't expecting that! Was amazing to be in amongst so many *incredibly* talented queer, POC and femme artists who really brought the energy.What an honour!
