Men really out here playing stupid. And an idiot with privelage is dangerous indeed.

Thatโ€™s how women get reduced to nothing more than a hole and how men convince themselves they donโ€™t understand consent, boundaries, or what โ€œnoโ€ means.

But let a gay man hit on a straight man, and suddenly he knows all about personal space, enthusiastic consent, taking consent back, and leaving someone alone.

The Cornell Seven story isnโ€™t new. Weโ€™re tired. And weโ€™re tired of the weaponized ignorance. The โ€œI didnโ€™t knowโ€ routine from men who know exactly what theyโ€™re doing...

 they just donโ€™t care.

Ya'll about to find out.

This won't be long.

Happy birthday my beautiful now 6 year old. โค๏ธ

There is nothing more important than your smile.

NOTHING.

Sometimes when I look at you....

I honestly feel like I'm finally doing something right.

The word love does no justice when it comes to how I feel about you.

You are a light and a mirror.

I am honored and privileged to be YOUR mom.

Happy birthday Kensington. โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

Eventually you just learn to say, "F!#$% you."

One of the most frustrating things about being diagnosed with ADHD later in life is realizing how many people think that once you have a name for it, you're suddenly using it as a crutch.

No, jerks.

I'm not telling you I have ADHD because I'm asking for a pass.

I'm telling you that I finally understand why certain things have been so fucking difficult for me my entire life.

There is a WORLD of difference between moving through life undiagnosed, having no idea why you struggle with things that seem effortless for everyone else, and moving through life finally understanding how your own brain works.

And honestly?

There's grief in that.

Because once you understand yourself, you can look backward and see it everywhere.

You can see the situations you handled BADLY.
The things that OVERWHELMED you.
The ways you REACTED.
The things people called character FLAWS.

The version of you other people still describe as though that person had all the information and tools you have now.

And sometimes it's painful hearing people describe that version of you because you're sitting there thinking:

I barely understood what was happening inside my own fucking brain.

Diagnosis didn't absolve me of responsibility for any of it.

It gave me the ability to take responsibility DIFFERENTLY.

Because now I have tools.

Now I know my patterns.
I know my strengths.
I know my deficits.
I know what overwhelms me.
I know what helps me regulate.

I know what I can push through and what I absolutely should not.

And one of the biggest things I've learned is how important it is to be honest about my boundaries.

So when I tell someone:

"I'm not comfortable doing that."

Or:

"I can't do it that way."

Or:

"This is how I need to handle this."

I'm not asking you to convince me why I should be able to do it your way.

I'm telling you that after 40-something years of living inside this brain, I finally fucking understand the operating system. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And THAT is where some of the biggest friction comes in.

Everyone's ADHD brain is on a spectrum but...

I have yet to find one that doesn't absolutely stan music in all it's forms.

It is actually medicine that for many undiagnosed folks served as a subconscious regulator in a world really not made in any way with us in mind.

So do me a favor...

Let your ADHD person listen to their music as much as they need. Most likely it's doing way more than you can see.

Here's a tip:

If you want to get them to move, wake up, smile, get out of a mood...

Throw on their Jams.

You are most welcome ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜‰

I asked my daughter if she would be ok with mommy getting a motorcycle.

She said, "Yeah why wouldn't I be?!"

I showed her the kind of bike I'd like.

Then she got a little glint in her eye and said my jackets should have spikes.

I told her she can tell chat what she sees and it will make it for her..

Smile on her face, hand on her chin...thinkin'.

Then she began.

"The whole outfit is black" ๐Ÿคฉ

"The jacket and the jacket has spikes. But I want three spikes on each shoulder."๐Ÿ˜ฆ

"Tight rock pants." ๐Ÿซก

"And big chunky boots like a LOL or Bratz Doll."๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I had to plug in a pic so I chose one from my hard-core gym days when I was a little more svelte, felt strong and was super happy with myself.

Then we wait. *insert Jeopardy tune"

Ding!

Oh em geee. We squeal. New swag, who dis?๐Ÿ’…

I am pretty dang proud of this girls direction and vision. ๐Ÿ‘“

I mean she made me a baaaaaddddie

Don't know why AI decided 2 helmets were needed but hey....

My daughter turned to me and said, I want to design more outfits. Yes baby girl let your creativity lead the way!

To which I said that's cool but you have to draw them first then we will bring em to life.

She is so excited.

And I have my first motorcycle outfit๐Ÿคฃ

Women arenโ€™t having enough children.

Birth rates are declining.

There arenโ€™t going to be enough babies.

Okay.

Make some more women out of your ribs then.

Oh. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

You canโ€™t?

Interesting.

Because for thousands of years, women have been handed stories telling us that ๐™ฌ๐™š came from ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช.

That woman was created second. From man.

As though the sex that literally grows, carries, births, and feeds human life somehow needed to be explained as an extension of the male body.

Convenient story.

Because biology tells a slightly different one.

You need women.

You need our bodies.

You need our labor.

You need our willingness to risk our health, alter our bodies, raise children, lose sleep, rearrange careers, absorb childcare costs, and carry an enormous amount of the physical and emotional work required to keep the next generation alive.

And instead of looking around and saying,

โ€œDamn. Maybe we should create a world where women actually feel supported enough to want to do this,โ€

some of you decided the solution was:

Control them.

Restrict them.

Shame them.

Take away choices.

And then act confused when women say,

โ€œ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ? ๐ˆโ€™๐Œ ๐†๐Ž๐Ž๐ƒ.โ€

Then somehow, you create a whole story about why men are experiencing a loneliness epidemic.

Never once asking yourselves if it is of your OWN creation.

Canโ€™t be mad at evolution when you fail to evolve.

Youโ€™re worried about declining birth rates?

Maybe stop treating the people who create human life like reproductive infrastructure.

Respect women.

Support mothers.

Make childcare affordable.

Make pregnancy and childbirth safer.

Make motherhood compatible with having an identity, career, freedom, money, rest, and a goddamn life.

Work ๐‘พ๐‘ฐ๐‘ป๐‘ฏ women instead of constantly trying to overpower them.

And if you donโ€™t...

Well.

According to the story, you made a whole woman out of a rib once.

Why do you need us then?

Healing out loud makes some people uncomfortable.

It exposes vulnerability.

It disrupts the perfect lives people try to portray on social media.

And sometimes, it angers those who would rather never be held accountable.

That is not to say everyone needs to be unabashedly loud about their pain.

Some healing is private.

But some of us go through things big enough that not sharing what we learned feels like a disservice.

Because somewhere, there is a woman standing at the edge of herself exhausted, feeling broken, and holding on through the love of her child.

She needs to know that starting over may be exactly what needs to happen.

There is a mother who needs to know that choosing herself could be the beginning of a life that one day makes her child proud.

We are often taught to hide what we go through for the comfort of people who do not have the courage to be real.

And sure, there will always be people who revel in someone elseโ€™s pain.

But that is not my problem.

To be human is to share.

To be who you are in that moment without shame.

To be open and honest.

To let others witness triumph where there was once tribulation.

To inspire one another to take the path that scares them.

The one that feels absolutely terrifying and then cheer each other on as we continue ascending after life tried to break us.

That is the point of all of this, isnโ€™t it?

I cannot and will not live my life according to the opinions of others.

Neither should you. ๐Ÿซต๐Ÿซฐ

You all know that one guy that says all his exes are crazy. Every. Single. One.

And he's just a walking totem of perfection....

Ok so .....Letโ€™s do a little math. ๐Ÿงฎ

Where:

(x_1, x_2, x_3, x_4) = the โ€œcrazy exesโ€

(h) = him

[\{x_1}{h}+\{x_2}{h}+\{x_3}{h}+\{x_4}{h}] = h

Therefore, the common denominator isโ€ฆ

**HIM.**

When every equation ends in chaos, maybe stop blaming the variables and examine the constant. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Who has that friend whose exes are all crazy? Is it you? Don't be shy. Accountability is so sexy.
