Ecstatic and cathartic is only a basic description of what emotions you feel listening to these bands - and we can tell from your interest in this show that you feel the same.

To spark the excitement even more we can now finally burst out the news that our friends of NESSEL will join this show! Combining elements of black metal, shoegaze and screamo culminating in an eclectic outburst of post-gaze-everything, we think there couldn’t be a better fit to open the evening with an unsettling blast!

The ecstatic black metal foundation AGRICULTURE really expanded their own genre definition into something more precise and far-reaching on their 2023 self-titled full-length, and deepened further with 2024’s Living Is Easy: a record that embraced devotional intensity and radiant heaviness in equal measure. We promise, you haven’t seen a more vibrant black metal band that‘ll leave you happy and disturbed at the same time

HEALING WOUND, emerging from UK‘s heavy underground with a pretty brutal, sludgy and grindy take on metalcore, will redefine your image of this genre.

Already almost 2 weeks ago but we can still feel the goosebumps: the delicacy of the contrast between these three approaches to heavy music was intense that night at @blitz_music_club with Predatory Void, Bipolar Architecture and Stenny. It showed once more that the cathartic element of music can be delivered through black-gaze riffing just the same as through unsettling electronic sounds.

Stenny opened with a hypnotic drone set - a pulsating, meditative soundscape, that already shifted the atmosphere into something just as immersive as what was about to come.
Bipolar Architecture followed with an equally electrifying presence, weaving together crushing heaviness and intricate textures. Predatory Void closed the night with a massive and deeply dynamic set, pushing the room through waves of tension and release. With Lina’s desperate yet invigorating vocals and every scream bursting with raw intensity, pulling the room straight into their dark, volatile energy.

Thanks to everyone who came out on a Sunday evening supporting subculture, and trusting us in making cultural spaces accessible for all kinds of music.

PREDATORY VOID have been on our radar since their first ever release in early 2023, when Lennart Bossu (Amenra, Oathbreaker, Living Gate) - known for his atmospheric and introspective sound, began writing harsher, more immediate material and brought together a new super group with members of Cobra The Impaler, Carnation and Cross Bringer:
The result is a volatile blend of styles—shoegaze, doom, hardcore, black and death metal—held together by emotional weight and raw power. It’s a sound as haunting as it is punishing, and one that will resonate with fans of alternative metal’s current vanguard, from Ragana and Agriculture to Thou.

They‘re accompanied by BIPOLAR ARCHITECTURE: the international four-piece, collectively hailing from Istanbul and Berlin, are intent on using their years of experience in the heaviest music scenes to push at the boundaries of contemporary metal.

Blitz Club resident STENNY joins the bash with a live set of his own, venturing into new sonic territory on the dancefloor between the live bands. Where the idiosyncratic Italian will take us remains an open question, but his deep, dark and emotive albums on Ilian Tape outline an artist with a richly layered musical language — suspended between past and future, rhythm and texture. We’re delighted that the producer is ready to expand his vocabulary further and introduce yet another dimension to his already striking oeuvre.

Formed in 2007 in the Dolomite Alps region of Italy with a deep admiration for their native country’s hardcore punk luminaries in La Quiete and Raein, as well as eighties and nineties cult heroes in Negazione, Wretched and Indigesti. STORMO’s steady rise from unassuming beginnings has been one of consistently stirring songwriting. Having amassed over 400 shows across Europe and the UK - including support slots to Converge, Full of Hell and La Dispute, as well as appearances at Fluff Fest - STORMO’s latest album Endocannibalismo was released of February the10th 2023 via Prosthetic Records.

***DEATH GOALS (Queercore, UK)
Death Goals are a Queercore duo from the United Kingdom. Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Harry Bailey and drummer/vocalist George Milner, the band combine post-hardcore, screamo and noise rock to create a true cacophony of power. Lyrically, the band explore themes of queer identity, mental health and political activism through their music, often blurring the lines between metaphor and realism to convey their message. The band hold an impressive live portfolio including numerous UK headline tours + UK/EU support slots with the likes of Heck, Portrayal Of Guilt and EYES amongst others. The band have also played several UK/EU festivals including Arctangent Festival (UK), Roadburn (NL) and Second Impact (IT).

We’re happy to welcome @dragunovduo as special guest for the show with Pothamus and Hemelbestormer in Munich!  Keeping an underground scene alive and together isn’t always easy, but crucial for a vibrant subculture – especially if the scene is rather small… In this case the post rock and post metal promoters @4ndreas.konzerte & @noiseraidband planned to put up a show in Munich for the uprising french postmetal band Dragunov, just on the same date as Pothamus and Hemelbestormer were scheduled to play… There was not much to be considered – on 10th april 2025 we’ll be joining forces to make all three performances happen on one evening, so nobody will have to make a hard decision here!
We’re so proud to give those extraordinary bands the possibility to present their sound in a unique environment like @blitz_music_club. Spread the word, because there is no chance you want to miss this line-up!

Prepare for an evening full of techy shreds combined with a crushing amount of deathcore breakdowns. Wintersoul Booking defined a new trinity of underground tech death with this line up – and it’s only going to be this one evening!

These three bands each take a different approach on technical death metal presented in high quality production: Spire Of Lazarus are rather emerging from a brutal death metal sound which they take on a stunning storytelling atmospheric path while Burn Down Eden reach into the infinite depth of blackened death, always keeping the pointed and accurate style of production of modern metal bands. Bleak Shoals, combining techy solos with crushing breakdowns which sometimes take a swift turn into dirty slams, are delivering a new stretch between tech death and slam.

While getting Spire Of Lazarus to play in Munich is a huge premiere in the first place – after them having already shared the stage with bands like The Black Dahlia Murder or played at infamous Summerbreeze Festival – this will at the same time be the celebration of the new album of Burn Down Eden from Berlin as well as the release of the new EP of Munich’s uprising band Bleak Shoals. More than excited to announce that me + @kafemarat proudly present: DIRTY TALONS + FOUR BLACK LUNGS // 27.11.24

If you've been digging through the underground scene back in the 2010's maybe you came across this band called ASTPAI – and have you too missed them really badly since they called it a day in 2020? Then hopefully you'll rejoice at this point – as three of the former members continued with a new project: @dirtytalons, the direct successor of ASTPAI. The new formation decided to leave earlier influences behind and created a more straight forward sound: through Jess' highly energetic, yet clean vocals Dirty Talons' heavy riff rock is reminiscent of 80's pop & rock, even with some heavy metal influences on the side. The three guitars create a finely nuanced yet driving sound which combines hard rock influences with an edgy punk attitude that's almost sparkling from self-empowerment.

And which band could round up this amazing alternative rock evening better than Munich's vibing gainesville/punk rock outfit @fourblacklungs. Their new record which has been released earlier this year showed once again with how much energy and determination the band is defining their very own sound: heartland punk. With the heart at the right place and the hand for writing hooks to jump around and scream along to, this will be the perfect fit for this show at Kafe Marat.

What's left to say? Sometimes a lot is going on in life, and doing DIY work all by yourself can be tough. So even though being a bit quiet around here - there's stuff going on, shows being planned and at this point I'm more than excited that I finally was able to put another show together for the year 2024.
