POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

spent yesterday creating this informative post on different situations going on at the minute in the world which have received less media coverage than they should. It actually took much longer than expected as I, myself needed to educate myself on the events that I didn’t even realise were happening. The media loves to pick and choose at what they tell us, it is so selective and it is actually shocking to read the horrifying things that are taking place in this modern world. We need to do better.
•
I’m definitely going to be doing a part 2 of this as there are a lot of things that I want to still cover, if you have anything you would like me to speak about, then just let me know And if this post has helped or informed you in any way, then please give it a share to educate others •
** EDIT: just wanted to correct myself where I mentioned that Yemen and Saudi Arabia are in an ongoing war! There is actually a civil war that has been going on within Yemen for years
• also check my recent post and the link in bio for all my sources for this post and the links on how to help 💜

“The Bucket Bath”: a universal black experience
•
As a continuation of my new universal black experience collection, I painted this piece to describe the beauty and joy of the simple bucket bath. After reading an article titled “Ode to Bucket Baths” by Mugabi Byenka (@mugabs), he describes the comforting experience and subsequently helped me reminisce on my own childhood and the importance of this simple ritual. 🪣 🛁

Africa is undergoing an extremely unsettling time with instability and turmoil taking place in multiple countries. The continent is in distress and there needs to more action and coverage of what is actually occurring at this current time. What society needs to understand, is that it is a luxury to think that a problem is not your problem because it does not affect you directly; these issues are global ones, and to turn a blind eye would be a sin. Hear their voices, hear their cries and amplify them so we can finally see some change!

All how to help links will be available on my story and in the highlights named ‘articles’.
