BWR17: WISEGUY ‘THE PROMO’ TAPE

While you might still be buried in the trenches of a holiday-enduced food coma, Wiseguy bring you three fresh new tracks and a cover to boot.

Not a band you can boil down to a singular sound - maybe you hear OC Youth Crew, maybe you hear the melodic end of NYHC or maybe you pick up on something that would echo down the halls of Jade Tree. Whatever your touch point, it’s fast, catchy, melodic (but not in that way) and full of soul; all puzzle pieces that come together to create the picture of a hardcore band concerned with more than just fraternity, that balances melancholy with aggression, that looks inward as well as outward.

Tapes up in the webstore now, shipping in late January. Keep an eye out for a few shows in the works in early 2026.

Our friend Ola of Quality Control Records was held in British prisons for 15 months and has not been found guilty of any crime. She along with twenty three others known as the Filton24 experienced inhumane treatment, discrimination, isolation and political persecution, fighting the system for her basic rights everyday.

The Filton24 is accused of involvement in direct action against Elbit Systems. Elbit produce 85% of Israel’s killer drones including the quadcopters that play recordings which mimic the sound of crying babies, to lure out survivors of bombings and kill them.

Supporting the Filton24 is at the heart of the battle to expose Britain’s complicity in this genocide and the Zionist occupation of Palestine

As Ola’s community of worldwide hardcore and punk, it’s never been more important for us to show up in solidarity.

Ola faces her first of two trials in June 2026. There is everything to play for.

Here’s how you can help...

Mobilise for Ola and the Filton24’s trials with your physical presence

Organise a benefit and fundraise for up Da3m Prisoner Support to help fund COURT visits, supporT, care, lost earnings, support and supplies for codefendants their families, campaign costs, printing and logistics.

Our first function of 2026 is a multi-continental meeting — New York’s finest COMBUST finally play Brighton, our city’s own IMPOSTER remind us all who’s boss, and Stockholm’s SPEEDWAY return to town after a five star showing at DIE Fest last year.

Plus: enjoy a double dose of knowledge with INFINITE WISDOM + WISEGUY opening proceedings, both hot off new releases & flying the flag for Burning Water.

Tickets about halfway sold for this already - those still tempted to set foot in the belly of the beast are advised to act accordingly.

Advance tickets are available on DICE, or there’s a sprinkling left on our webstore… taken in The Hope & Ruin by @wiseguy.uk
