Just a "wise woman" from the Ozarks telling tales and making art, trying to make a life of it.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I just learned this week that TWO of my stories will be published in The Back Roads Literary Review's fall 2026 edition of their anthology series. Talks Like An Angel and Dream Job. I'm so honored and happy but I really wish I could share this news with my mother. She was an author and was over the moon when I told her about my story Anniversary's acceptance into this year's spring edition. At least I was able to share a little of my writing journey with her before her passing. by @wiseyoungarcher

My new fermentation jar seems to be working well so far. I love watching the bubbles. #makesomethingeveryday #mead #bubbles #fermentaion #apples by @wiseyoungarcher

I know nothing of the softball but I do know how to do the moral support. My womb fruit was fully aware that i would be bringing embroidery with me. She is very supportive of my art. #makearteveryday #painting #embroidery #gosports #familythatartstogether by @wiseyoungarcher

It looks like it's almost that time of year again to make my sister's favorite mead I've made, American persimmon. Go be creative today and look for abundance where you can! #mead #fall #makesomethingeveryday #americanpersimmon by @wiseyoungarcher

Am I toasty? Yes. Does this change things? No, as far as I'm concerned. #seakingguidance #rock #magic #spiritual by @wiseyoungarcher

This piece is for my brother and his wonderful fiance. This was made from their engagement photo. It'll be called "love grows here". #love #makearteveryday #engagement #family by @wiseyoungarcher

Hope y'all enjoy this snippet of my story Like An Angel, using Stephen King's writing prompt from his book On Writing. It was a great exercise and fun to write even if it's never considered "good". #writeeveryday #reading #writingsample #horror #shortstory by @wiseyoungarcher
