When we say Dexter is a perfect dog, we really mean it. We can’t believe he’s still waiting 😢 After starting life on the streets, Dexter ended up at East Valley Shelter, where he was returned after being hit by a car and eventually placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, he’s now fully healed and ready for a fresh start 🤍 Dexter is a 1½-year-old, 60-pound shepherd mix with giant ears, an even bigger heart, and the sweetest personality. Dexter is sweet, smart, curious, cuddly, and incredibly people-oriented. He loves being around his humans, is friendly with people and other dogs, and is always up for some fun. For a young shepherd, Dexter has a great moderate energy level. He enjoys walks, is wonderful on leash, and loves exploring, but is equally happy relaxing with his people. He still has some puppy energy and benefits from structure and quiet time to help him settle. He’s also potty trained, crate trained, non-destructive, and sleeps through the night! He’s treat-motivated and eager to learn 🙌 After everything he’s been through, Dexter deserves a family of his own. He’s affectionate, playful, loyal, and ready to be someone’s best friend 🤍 Apply to adopt Dexter at wishbonela.org 🦴 #wishbonedexter #adoptabledogs #sheperdmix #shepherddogsofinstagram by @wishbone_rescue
Meet Peyton! 🏈🤍 Another one of Mama Maddie’s adorable football pups is officially 8 weeks old and ready to find her forever home! Peyton is a confident, independent little girl with the sweetest personality! While she takes more of a back seat compared to her sisters, she definitely knows how to hold her own. She’s curious about everything and loves following her people around to see what they’re up to! She’s the perfect balance of playful and easygoing. Not shy, but not overly in your face either! Like all her siblings, Peyton is incredibly sweet, fun, and surprisingly gentle for a young puppy. No crazy puppy biting or nonstop chaos here! These puppies are seriously perfect 🥹 Peyton is a German Shepherd/Jindo mix (swipe to the last slide for her DNA results!). With Mama Maddie weighing around 45 lbs, we expect her to be medium-sized when fully grown. This sweet, curious girl is ready to find her forever family! 🤍 Apply to adopt Peyton at wishbonela.org 🦴 #wishbonemamamaddie #AdoptPeyton #jindomixpuppy #germanshepherdofinstagram #gsdpuppy by @wishbone_rescue

Kelce is a German Shepherd/Jindo mix (swipe to the last slide for her DNA results!). With Mama Maddie weighing around 45 lbs, we expect her to be medium-sized when fully grown. After his family was going through hard times, and had to make the difficult decision to surrender him to us, Floyd is still waiting 💔 At 2.5 years old, this 45 lb red heeler mix is the total package. Sweet-natured, great with kids and other dogs, potty and crate trained, and always up for a game of fetch. Floyd is an easygoing, loving guy who’s ready to find a family to call his own. Despite some big life changes, Floyd has remained happy and good-natured. He loves learning new things, enjoys his walks, and is happiest when he has a cozy spot to nap and someone to throw a ball for him. He would make a wonderful addition to just about any home! A big thank you to @elisabethmillay for capturing our handsome Floyd so beautifully! 🤍 Apply to adopt at wishbonela.org 📍Los Angeles, CA #WishboneFloyd #adoptdontshop #dogsofinstagram #losangeles rescuedog by @wishbone_rescue
Clifford needs a foster starting THIS SUNDAY! 💔 Our sweet senior boy is still waiting for a place to call home, and we need your help! Clifford is a 7-year-old German Shepherd in his golden years, but he doesn’t let that stop him from enjoying the little things in life. He’s an easygoing, low-maintenance boy who just wants a comfortable place to relax and some love. He doesn’t need much! A few short walks a day or a backyard to lounge in would make him perfectly happy. He’s totally fine in an apartment, too! Clifford would do best as the only dog, and we’re hoping someone can open their home to this deserving boy. He’s been through so much and deserves some stability 💔 Can you foster Clifford starting Sunday? Please send us a DM or apply to foster at wishbonela.org 🤍 #WishboneClifford #FosterNeeded #SeniorDog #GermanShepherd #FosterDogs by @wishbone_rescue
There’s the side of Pumpkin you first meet and then there’s the side of Pumpkin you earn. She doesn’t trust new people right away, but she is so fun and can be such a love once you have taken the time to build a relationship. by @wishbone_rescue
Meet Dash! 🏈🤍 He is one of Mama Maddie’s adorable football pups and is officially 8 weeks old and ready to find his forever home! While his crazy sisters are busy causing chaos, Dash prefers to hang back and take it all in. He’s one of the quieter, calmer pups of the bunch and is an absolute sweetheart! This little lover boy is as gentle and affectionate as they come and would make the sweetest addition to a lucky family. Dash is a German Shepherd/Jindo mix (swipe to the last slide for his DNA results!). With Mama Maddie weighing around 45 lbs, we expect him to be medium-sized when fully grown. This sweet boy is ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own. Apply to adopt Dash at wishbonela.org 🦴 #wishbonemamamaddie #AdoptDash #RescuePuppy by @wishbone_rescue
Thank you @elisabethmillay for the gorgeous photos of our sweet Honey! 🍯 Honey is a 2-year-old German Shepherd who is as sweet and gentle as they come. BRISKET NEEDS A FOSTER! 💔 Meet Brisket 🥩 This sweet 1-year-old, 42-lb pittie was found chained up and locked to a fence, completely abandoned and left with nowhere to go. 💔 Thankfully, a Good Samaritan stepped in to save him, and after a few days of being cared for, Brisket officially joined Wishbone! Despite everything he’s been through, Brisket is the sweetest, happiest boy who just wants to be loved. 🤍 He’s potty trained, sleeps through the night in his crate, knows how to sit, and is becoming quite the little snuggle bug! He’s wonderful with people and kids and would love another playful dog to hang out with. Brisket is still very much a puppy with lots of goofy energy and some manners to learn. He needs someone willing to give him a little patience, structure, and the love he should have had all along. We desperately need a foster home for Brisket! He’s already been let down once, and we want to make sure the rest of his life looks nothing like his past. If you can open your home to this deserving boy, please send us a DM or apply to foster at wishbonela.org 🤍 #WishboneBrisket #FosterNeeded #RescueDog by @wishbone_rescue
