Vendor Highlight ✨ @brewrevott Brew Revolution is Stittsville’s craft brewery and taproom, featuring a large variety of house-made beers and incredible live music. Seen at the @lcbo 🤩 I designed this label to stand out amongst the sea of cans found at the store. Playing off Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir song; it’s all about the journey rather than the location. Inspired by a drive through a desolate desert area in southern Morocco. Vibrant hues of blue with a unique font and reoccurring logo placement, this beer can tells a story while inviting you to enjoy this smooth Norwegian Pale Ale full of cashmere hops, notes of citrus and melon, and a dry light bodied finish. NEW 🤍 That’s right, so much new is happening here. Starting off with our brand new logo/branding. Last year I toyed with the idea of a full rebrand and new name. But with having been in business 13 years, a new name didn’t seem right so, with the help of Krista @wishtree_design , this new BEAUTIFUL and perfect logo came to be. In 2023 came another hurdle, the company that provided the theme and support for the appearance of my website decided to randomly shut down and left thousands of us without a proper working site. I pulled up my britches and worked on re-learning wordpress to create this brand new, sleek website to showcase my work and be more functional for clients. 📣 It’s official! Wishtree has a new website that finally showcases both the stationery AND the brand side! Big thank you to @gowithflo.co for bringing our vision to life and pushing us to finally make it a reality. It is a true labor of love, sharing so many of our incredible clients and their work. I’ve been quiet on this account for many reasons; wedding season has been nuts, we’ve been focused on our incredible clients, I’ve finally decided that I also deserve to be happy and got out of a toxic workplace, AND I struggled with what to post next (meaning I’ve been overthinking it for months when in reality, I need to treat this account like I do with @wishtree_invites and make it my own). So for those that know me, #mentalhealthawareness is something that I value and share as best I can. With today (Oct 10) being #worldmentalhealthday I thought this would be the best post to start back with. We are all going through something. Not everyone talks about it and not everyone shows it. If you’re struggling, overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious or just feeling stagnate, know that there’s some incredible resources out there to help you navigate it all. @telecbt.ca has been a huge help in my journey. @jojoscreameria ice cream truck in all its glory! 🍦 . . This truck wrap has become an iconic piece of Stittsville. Attracting people from all over to take photos infront of the truck and enjoy their crafty ice cream cones. [so good! 😋] . . We developed several concepts playing off the traditional vintage style ice cream trucks but soon realized this truck deserved more. Something unique and fun. Cue big pink polka dots and a running pattern of ice cream illustrations to compliment their logo. Key pieces included their social media contacts and hashtag strategically placed for quick viewing. . . CLIENT SPOTLIGHT || @jojoscreameria . . What do you get when you mix a pizza shop with an ice cream truck? Jo-Jo’s Creameria! We worked together on narrowing down their name (play off the OG “Jo-Jo’s Pizzeria”) and desaturated their brand colours (red and black) to give us a beautiful pink and soft grey. . . From there, we got to work on their truck. Pulling their brand throughout so it’s easy to recognize and associate. You may have seen it around town - it’s hard to miss! Yesterday’s IG LIVE with @bourbonandbloom was a little snippet on how to find your ideal client, build your brand voice and create your own flat lay from home. . . If you missed it, below are a few tips & tricks when trying to create a flat lay. . . 1) BACKGROUND. Keep it neutral so your object(s) are the focus. Texture through cloths, blankets, carpet, countertops, flooring, whatever you can find. Work with it! . 2) LAYER. It’s ok and encouraged to overlap items! Whether it’s placing a textured napkin on top of the countertop background or some jewelry draped over top of a velvet box. Layering adds dimension and interest. . . 3) STORY. Paint a story. What are you shooting? What can you incorporate with it to tell the story? Showcasing a new lipstick? Perhaps you have some make up brushes, and/or a purse peaking through, or a pair of heels to describe a night out. . . There are several other key points when shooting, so we’re considering a full flat lay course to teach you all the tricks to shooting your work in the best way possible. . .
