Josephine and Miguel met 13 years ago through a mutual friend. Miguel was hooked right away, Josephine took a little convincing, but one year after their first date, they were married. Today they’re raising two kids, ages 9 and 10. 💍

In April 2025, following a miscarriage and a series of unexpected symptoms, Josephine was diagnosed with an incredibly rare form of cervical cancer. By November, the cancer had spread to her abdominal lining, and ongoing complications have recently stopped her chemotherapy altogether.

Josephine and Miguel had planned to renew their vows for their 10th anniversary. Now, facing an uncertain future, that celebration means more than ever. Their kids love watching their original wedding video, and Josephine wants to give them something new to cherish. “I want them to see how happy we still are,” she shared.

We are so honored to have granted this wish, surrounding Josephine and Miguel with a team of incredible vendors who showed up to celebrate their love in a big way. For one day, cancer took a back seat, and all that was left was love. 🤍

Year after year, Luxe Productions shows up for Wish Upon a Wedding in a BIG way.

For the past several years, their incredible team has generously produced our Gala, donating the AV and sound production to ensure that every moment of the evening is brought to life.

And they never simply just show up. They go above and beyond to make sure every detail is exceptional, from the powerful stories shared on stage to the entertainment and special moments throughout the night.

Josh and Michelle met more than 25 years ago through a family member, and what started as him helping out around the house turned into a love story that’s lasted decades.

Michelle was a single mom to two young boys when they met. Josh stepped in, fell in love, and married her within the year, becoming a dad in every way that counted. They went on to have two more kids and spent the next twenty years building a full life together.

In 2020, what Josh thought was a pulled muscle turned out to be a cancerous tumor on his pancreas. Surgery and chemo bought them time, but the cancer has continued to advance.

They’d always talked about renewing their vows. They just never found the right time.

So we made the time. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Josh and Michelle stood together again and celebrated the life, family, and love they built. ❤️

Matt and Tonya’s story began their freshman year of high school, when Matt asked Tonya to dance at a school dance, although, to this day, she’s the only one who remembers it.

Twenty-five years later, he popped up on her social media and on a whim, she reached out. This time, neither of them forgot what came next. They fell head over heels in love.

Two years into falling in love, Matt began experiencing health issues. At first, he thought he was simply overdoing it at work. But when he became increasingly sick, he went to the emergency room, where a scan revealed a large tumor in his colon.

Matt was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had already spread to his lungs, liver, and lymph nodes. Tonya never left his side, even through a year that also took both of her brothers and her mom. He underwent immediate surgery to remove the tumor and has since endured an intensive chemotherapy regimen, numerous setbacks, and incredibly difficult side effects.

We planned their wedding for later this year. But as Matt’s health declined, waiting wasn’t an option. So in just six days, an extraordinary team of Wish Granters came together and made it happen.

It was an honor getting to be a part of such a meaningful and memorable day. As vendors we often get to see those beautiful, exciting beginning years of a relationship. The starting minutes and days of a marriage.

This 30 year vow renewal felt extra special because it felt like being on the other side of all those commitments you make at the start. Seeing firsthand how all those vows and promises were kept over 30 years of a lifetime together. Families built. Grand babies born. Living life’s highs and lows - together, forever and always.

I love weddings, but what I’m always most excited for my couples to enjoy is a lifetime of love, experiences, and deep partnership together. This day was a gift I’ll treasure forever 🤍

Mary and Ray met more than 20 years ago, before dating apps and social media, in a chatroom. They talked for a full year before Mary drove 7 hours to meet Ray in person. They hit it off, moved in together almost immediately, and built a home and a family together.

In 2019, Ray asked Mary to marry him at the 9/11 Memorial. They said “I do” surrounded by a small group of family and friends, never imagining how much those vows would come to mean just a few years later.

In 2024, stomach pain Mary thought was an ulcer turned out to be stage IV cancer. She entered a clinical study and endured 11 difficult months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, treatment so hard that parts of the past year are simply gone from her memory.

When it stopped working, her doctors moved her to a new regimen. Today, she continues treatment every two weeks, doing everything she can for more time with the people she loves.

Through all of it, Ray has been beside her. Their life isn’t defined by cancer. It is filled with what has always mattered most: close friends, camping trips, family time, and their granddaughter. 🤍

It was such an honor playing a small role in their love story. We’re so thankful for the incredible team of vendors who came together to love on Mary and Ray with their creativity, generosity, and kindness.

Thirty years ago, a blind date changed everything.

Kevin and Pamela fell in love fast, married in a courthouse ceremony, and built a beautiful family together, including a son adopted from Guatemala. Their life has also carried real weight. Pamela lives with Crohn’s disease, and Kevin has navigated a massive heart attack, heart failure, and now a pacemaker-defibrillator while facing the possibility of a future heart transplant.

Through all of it, they kept building. As their 30th anniversary approached, they wanted a moment to pause and truly celebrate the life they had fought for together.

We were honored to grant their wish for a vow renewal, surrounded by an incredible team of wish granters who poured their talents and generosity into making this day unforgettable.
