sprawl ii - arcade fire

as a youth, I would post singing videos to fb & take my guitar with me to sing in the quad, hallways, classrooms with permission, and on 2nd floor mall bridges, without permission. I sang frequently, consistently, for many years, everywhere I could. Even somehow got to do live shows with my friends on stages!

I stopped pretty suddenly after turning 18. A lot changed very quickly and my angels put me on vocal rest. That voice in which I’d learned so much personal power - just inched off into the night like it was tied to the valley & the signal could barely reach past Santa Barbara… though some frequencies would come through and I’d still get lyrics, but couldn’t reproduce the melody. Couldn’t play guitar either.

Point is, I’m feeling better! Looking forward, though retrograde has been a deeep rest one… #ilovehbogirls by @witchbazel

Just ma face back in January. Last looks of 24.
Thanks for encouraging me to get in front of a camera, Rocky. I felt big and brave and strange, and I hope we only get better at being big and brave and strange! #bighead

“Here’s to being there.” -
3-20-2020
(whoa, 3 20’s!)

We sorted our isolation apartment for the first time, back then.
Venturing past the houses, the lake, the fields and cliffs, we found a river on the beach.
We three collected the lying clouds that loomed in warped reflections.
We did only two things that day; Two shared semi-fertile clementines and watched one build a dam.
Life was so simple when it was suddenly uncertain, back then.

Hello, neighborhood cat.
You’re a threat to local fauna, but I like you anyway. I enjoy how we watch each other through glass and fences. It’s us against Nutter.

“The chrysalis is crystal clear.”
Try saying that 10 times fast!

Some other things you can tell me 10x fast:
“Chrysal-clear-is” or “Crystalis.”

The third option is to recommend any 35 mm color negative film :) My black and white pics came back last month, and I rediscovered the joy of focus when playing with @maryaelaine ‘s camera :)
