BIG GRATITUDES:

@papillonsouthampton staff and security were supportive, friendly and helpful all day, as in previous years. Special thanks for keeping everyone hydrated!

We're grateful for our friends who volunteered to lift gear, sell merch and drive us about during Abyssal weeked - Sof, Pat, Rob and Clemmy. Further thanks to other friends who helped with lending gear and setting up in the run-up - Billy, Sam, Mark and Seb. Also, everyone at Canton for hosting afters - YOU ROCK!

Our sound engineer Izaak Bullen is the eye of our storm, bringing the noise perhaps more than anyone else. Thanks so much for bringing your passion for doom to this festival.

Obviously, we have to thank the bands for a day of brilliant performances and window-rattling noise. Some of them travelled a long way, respect it!

For the first time ever, we needed a driver to meet our headliner at a London airport. James Pergande is an absolute gem, unfailingly helpful and disciplined, smiling the whole way through. If you're a booker or a band and need a driver, we can't recommend him enough.

The Black Heart will be our 20th anniversary celebration. A little bit off from our first ever show at The Old King's Head (don't look for it, it's not there anymore) on 9th December, 2006, but it's still got us feeling nostalgic.
