✨Book Review✨

She’s a Doll ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I’ve seen so many good reviews for this one and I can confirm, the hype is real. I was instantly sucked into this book and couldn’t put it down. I absolutely hate dolls but I found myself loving Lucy in doll form. She had me cracking up laughing throughout the story and her and Nicola’s friendship was so heartwarming.

Overall, I absolutely loved this weird, female rage book and highly recommend it to everyone, as it’s perfect for spooky season. Do check the trigger warnings as it does touch on some rough subjects. taken in Moline, Illinois by @witchy.library

I’ve been wanting to read SLEWFOOT for so long and I finally decided to borrow it from the library. It’s finally feeling like fall and the leaves are starting to fall in my backyard which means it feels like the perfect time to start this witchy read. I’m definitely excited to read it and have high hopes for it from all the good reviews I’ve seen of it!

Book Haul

I have finally got my hands on both of these beauties and I cannot WAIT to read them both! THE CALAMITIES was definitely a bookstagram influenced especially after seeing so many good reviews for it. I loved THE BOOK OF ACCIDENTS by Wendig so I can’t wait to see what this one has in store. I also can’t wait to dive back in and read DEAD BEAT though I’m going to be so sad when I’m done with it. This series is everything to me and are the perfect dark academia reads for fall! taken in Moline, Illinois by @witchy.library

✨Book Review✨

Deadly Little Lessons ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I love a dark academia book and this book truly hit all the marks for me. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down until I was finished. I was immersed in the story and it gave all the fall, dark academia vibes that I was hoping for. I loved all the characters, especially Lia, and I found myself cracking up at her banter throughout the story. This book had mystery, life or death tests, and a dash of romance and I loved every single moment of it. Also, the ending made me wanting more and hoping for a second book!

Overall, I highly recommend this one if you enjoy dark academia and books like The Inheritance Games and The Luminaries!

✨Book Review✨

The Need ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I had no expectations going into this one and I so surprised by it in a good way! This was a unique take on a cannibalism story and it gave me similar vibes to Resident Evil, which I loved. I loved the multiple POV’s and getting every side to the story and seeing it all come together throughout the story. Mostyn-Brown did an amazing job giving each character a voice and personality and I really was able to picture each one and separate them in my head. Of course with this being a cannibalism book it is gory so get ready for the horror.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys a good cannibalism story and it’ll be the perfect addition to your fall tbr!
