We are delighted to share that the recently launched book, 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨, was reviewed by @hohumha for the British Journal of Photography (@bjp1854). In his review, he describes the book as an evocative act of reconstruction and tactile experience that asks readers to touch, read, and question. 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨, a publication accompanied by an exhibition, is a collaboration between Joyona Medhi and Abhishek Basu, winners of the Alkazi Foundation’s Photobook Grant 2022. The project draws on material from the Gazder–Bharucha family album to question the reliability of archives and the authority of documentation by delving into imaginative and interpretive ambiguity. The exhibition, 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨, will be on view at @offsetprojects, New Delhi, till 4 January 2026. by @withbasu_

THE HILLS HAVE THEIR OWN LORE At Nohkalikai, someone told us about Ka Likai, the mother who discovered what her second husband had done to her child and threw herself off the cliff. Then you stand at the edge and watch that enormous column of water disappear into the gorge. Suddenly, the story feels less like folklore. The Khasi hills have a way of doing that. Making the landscape feel like it remembers. @royalenfield Living roots become bridges. Rocks have genders. Women carry the lineage. And somewhere beneath all that beauty, there is an unmistakable EERINESS... #wanderlust #viralreel #meghalayatourism #roaddiary #fyp by @withbasu_
MEGHALAYA, ON A MOTORBIKE We rode into Sohra with the mist coming and going so quickly...whole valleys would disappear around a bend and reappear ten minutes later. A lone police station glowing yellow in the middle of nowhere. A horse grazing beside a road. Villagers smoking pipes, watching us pass. Every turn had a different mood. @royalenfield We came looking for a landscape. The hills kept giving us people. #roaddiary #8mm #foresttrail #meghalaya #travel by @withbasu_
