Nights to remember ✨ by @withlovepattyx

We will never truly heal from this loss. Our sweet angel, my dear cousin, baby sis, Sommie Maduagwu. 🕊️

A random dump of memories I could find 🥹🫶🏾

There’s really no words to describe this loss, it’s still raw, and I still can’t believe it. Your future stolen from you in this way, just days after we were altogether celebrating as a family. There’s still convos we haven’t had, grief is just love with no where to go. Just recently we all spoke about staying connected and the importance of being there for each other, about how your 30s were going to be your best and everything that you were looking forward to. We were both such romantics, obsessing over life, love and our feminine pink obsessions. We had calmed down so much over the years from our explosive ways 🤭 If only we knew. Our last brunch date postponed, I said dw I’ll see you next time when I’m in Abuja - who knew. You were always an international babe, I would blink and you’re in a new city, or pursuing a new venture, you had become much more settled towards the end. Thank you for every prayer, every encouragement and all the times you checked in with me, creating space to pour me with love. I never got to return the last call 💔

To then not be able to fly to bury you due to my surgery, is another burden I now have to bare, but I did everything I could to honour you sis, and I know you felt my love and efforts.

I promise to look after those you loved and cared for. I promise to fight as fiercely as you did for what’s right and ny passions. My admiration for you has no bounds. Thank you for always being so caring, graceful and a beautiful burst of energy.

Every family affair, every birthday, every reunion, erratic dance movement, every mic moment, every “MISS ODJE!”, every cute fit, every loving sister prayer, every photo shoot, every intentional business venture, every unapologetic commentary, in my dreams, I’ll think of you my sweet darling! Love you 🕊️
