My German friends ask me what life is like in America.

Here’s a little glimpse of the latter.

Saturday’s are typically a house project sort of day with something fun sprinkled in somewhere along the way.
Today’s housework was sponsored by grandparents so I could have some undivided time to scrub our very dirty porch. 🙌
Today’s special treat was an ice cream date with my Fella and buying some new plants on the way home.

Ladies, I’m convinced we have each been created in the image of God — to not only walk with Him, but to also co-create WITH Him in all things. As we grow in our identity, learn to own our stories, and live in and from the place of love — we can and will see transformation.

Transformation and growth in our own lives, but not merely unto being better versions of ourselves — unto reflecting the glory we’ve been created to behold, embody, and express.

Let’s be women that create and cultivate life in whatever spaces we’ve been given to influence, and whatever spaces or places God is inviting us into to possess for the sake of His Kingdom being manifest in the Earth.

Mamas, we can spend an exorbitant amount of time purposely or inadvertently arguing with God. 🤪

As a bonus mom to two adults in their early-twenties and a mama to three kids ages 5 and under — I am regularly confronted with my shortcomings and situations where I wish love was my automatic response.

But then it’s not 😳

I’ve then spent a SILLY amount of time dwelling on my faults and weaknesses.
Only to end up more discontent, disappointed and straight up delusional about my identity and role as a mother.

This year I made it a goal to:
1. Recognize where I was arguing with God in my head or heart.
2. Ask God what He actually thinks about the thought or situation.
3. AGREE with who God says I am and what He’s speaking.

Needless to say, I’m walking in greater confidence, internal rest, and joy than I ever have before.

I don’t need to become a more perfect mother to become a more joyful one.
I need to stop agreeing with the voices that tell me who I’m not and agree with God about who I am.

Maybe the core thing you’re longing for isn’t clarity—it’s to know you’re not crazy.

To know that all the seemingly disconnected invitations, struggles, triumphs, and various pieces of your story actually are connected, significant, and being woven together in the unfolding revelation of Jesus in and through your life.

Not merely for your sake, but for the sake of the world and all those you’ve been created to love and serve.

May we find ourselves forever leaning into Him with our stories. 💛

I first had the idea to pursue Life Coaching training nearly 9 years ago — it then took me another 6.5 years to find a life coach of my own, and that was when I quickly knew I wanted to not only be on the receiving side but also on the providing side of coaching.

Whatever the area of personal development or skill you’re desiring to grow in — may this serve as an encouragement that with the Lord, and the right people around you to support you in your journey, it’s truly possible!

Finding the lane you were created to run in with God doesn’t have to be nearly as complicated as we sometimes make it.

And let me tell you — I have made it COMPLICATED. 🫣

Yet now I find myself laughing and overjoyed at what I think I’ve finally found as the lane God has given me to run in with Him in this season of my life.

I dove into coaching two years ago. As I started to coach, I felt more alive than I ever have in my work. It was as if a myriad of jobs and life experiences were colliding into this one space. I realized I’d been accidentally dabbling in coaching for years!

So that’s what I want this page to be about: helping you find your lane and run in it, with God.

It’s not self-actualization, or manifesting our dream lives — but living lives fully surrendered to Jesus and engaged in running in and with all God has placed in our hands.

There’s nothing like traveling as a family and being out of your typical rhythms to have your core values unveiled. ☺️

When we’re home and going about our typical-life our core values and motivations seems clear — but then we’re gone, on the road, traveling and we find that it’s then that we find what it is we really gravitate and feel drawn towards.

In some moments there’s a new found passion or a peeling back of the layers of responsibility we’ve been carrying — and in others it’s realizing that the pull towards building, developing and training continue as a core motivation.

For our German-American family, it’s been a combo of it all the past month in the States — and we’re curious to see what our last month here will hold. ❤️

Never would I ever have thought I’d marry a German man. Let alone one that had been previously married, let alone have kids, and most certainly not one with teenagers!

But God surprised me in the best way. He led me to Germany, gave me His heart for the land and nation — and then introduced me to the man that would become my husband.

Now 7 years into marriage and I’m more surrendered, more alive and convinced than ever that God’s perspective on life, love, marriage, and family are worth saying yes to. Not my own ideals that can far too easily become idols of the heart, but rather yielding to God’s plans, purposes, and intentions.

As a German-American couple that entered into marriage as a blended family - we’ve had our fair share of harder days, but also a whole lot of good ones.

I’m not much of one to wish to “do things over” however, I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I’ve spent way too much time:

1. Stressing over our finances and forgetting that the One who brought us together is MORE than able to provide
ALL we need in each and every season. (I may just need to allow my definition of “enough” to be defined by Him, not me.)
2. Forgetting how much my husband really is FOR me and has my best intention in mind. I’ve heard it plenty of times - “remember, you’re on the same team.” And while I’ve known it in my head, my heart has too often forgotten.
3. Concerned that we would somehow miss the fullness of what God has for us as a family. But again, l’ve needed God’s definition to come in and be the defining factor of what success and life to the full looks like with Him, and for our family in each and every season.
