POSTS STORIES REELS

Hi guys (oop, I’m meant to use something more catchy than that—forgive me).

Let’s start the week the right way. Sing along to Jesus with me.

If you know the songs, you’ll realise there’s a line I kept singing wrong. I promise I know the line! In fact, every time I sang it with the camera off, I sang it correctly. Once the camera came on, I’d sing it upside down again. I want to believe that maybe it’s an emphasis for me or someone else who might listen to this.

Songs: “You Covered Me” by Dr R.A. Vernon and “More” by Lawrence Flowers & Intercession.

P.S. Let me confess: I didn’t mean to post this here. It was originally meant for a few people, but someone said that if you’re going to put yourself out there, you may as well step completely out of your comfort zone. 🥹😭

Anyways, I pray that this week you receive clarity and boldness as you go about your life. That you speak up when you’re meant to and have the clarity to move through the week with ease.

Jesus loves you. I possibly like you.

Some days, you just don’t feel like.

I woke up this morning wishing I could sleep the day away.

In the midst of the day, I found myself falling asleep in public. My body hurt, my head was banging. I just wanted to sleep.

But I made it through the day.

I took the picture at the beginning of day just to see if I was able to hide the tiredness and eye bags with concealer. I think I did well.

Some days, just existing is enough.

At the end of the day, I feel so much better than the beginning or the middle of the day.

To be honest I knew I would, I mean I would only drag myself out of the house on days like this to spend in the presence of God. So a day spent worshiping and being with other believers praising God is never a waste. 🤗

Today I pray you find strength in God and in the presence of God.

Some days, I look at nature and remember that God is the author of beauty and creativity.

Gosh!

Today’s challenge was something short.

So here we have it 😂

Cover image is what it is because you cannot shame the shameless and if you’re confused about it, please watch my last video. 🤣😂

Hi guys 😂 A few things about this video:

1. If you watch it with the sound off, you’ll think I’m unhinged. If you watch it with the sound on, you’ll confirm it. This video has put my whole personality outside, and I don’t know how I feel about it. 😭
2. I actually do voiceovers for people, but I didn’t want this to be one of those polished, planned, well-articulated ones. I wanted it to just be me narrating the video the way I would if you were standing beside me watching it. So yes, this is what you’d be getting in person. 😂
3. Honestly, the food is not the content. Me, by myself, I am the content. Thank you.
4. I hope this video makes you laugh. Or smile. Something sha. Just be happy while you’re watching it. And after. And generally. 😂❤️

I pray you have an amazing day today, tomorrow and the next. As the work week rounds up, may you have testimonies and reasons to rejoice. May God bless you and keep you. And please, don’t fall sick o. Whether it’s heat or cold, none of them should come and stress you.

Be safe. Be healthy. Love you. Kisses. Byeee 😘

You guys, it may have seemed funny, but best believe I learnt some serious life lessons from that whole debacle oh! 😂

I learnt to listen to instructions and take direction. I learnt that you cannot force people or things to become what you need them to be simply because that’s what you want at that moment. When you force something to be what it’s not, it rarely ends well.

I learnt not to settle for what isn’t for me or what I don’t need. Because Omo, not every replacement is a suitable substitute, and replacing something important with the wrong thing will have you crying blood. 😭😂

I learnt to look, listen, observe and take correction. And as someone who is naturally non-confrontational, I learnt to speak up for myself. Because the old me would have just accepted my fate rather than argue with that man. And believe me, it took a LOT of back and forth before he admitted he was wrong and let me pick something else worth my money oh! 😂

I also learnt that patience and observation pay off. Because at the end of the day, I found the waterleaf I was looking for! Both the fresh-ish ones and the frozen ones sef. Imagine if I had just settled? 😂

And finally, I learnt that sometimes, what I want may not be enough, and there’s wisdom in learning from people who have gone ahead of me. Because that’s how I eventually bought spinach to add to my soup, and all was well in the world again. 😂❤️

All these life lessons from ordinary waterleaf and soup ingredients. Who would have thought? 😭😂

Anyway, there are lessons everywhere, even in the most unserious situations, if we’re willing to pay attention.

Music by @koraleclasik as usual 🤭🧡 by @withsharont

A day in my life, Abi a few hours in my life.

This is meant to be a fun random post. 🤭

Meanwhile @officialchinyereudoma has a song for every season and I can go weeks listening to just her. ❤️

Today’s task for the challenge was to challenge myself.

The irony? I genuinely had no idea what that meant. 😂 Like, what exactly am I supposed to do to challenge myself that’s social media-worthy?

Add to that the fact that I’m tired. Like, properly tired. 😭 I feel like I’ve run out of content, ideas and, quite frankly, the energy to create anything.

But I guess that’s the challenge, isn’t it? Showing up even when I don’t feel like it. Posting even when I feel like I have absolutely nothing to share.

So here I am, challenging myself to be consistent, even on the days when inspiration is nowhere to be found.

Sigh. 😂

Anyway, I sha pray for us all this week. That we find joy and peace, that we experience little pockets of happiness in the most unexpected places, and that we find inspiration in life, nature and all the beautiful things God has created around us.

May this week be kind to us. ❤️

Hi guyssss.

How are you doing?

Ps. The song in the video is Ga ni nan by @bezidakula
I love the song so much.

I did a GRWM. Can’t lie this was harder to actually film and put out than my normal videos. 😂

Anyways, enjoy.

Quick advice for a certain demographic ft my nails that are begging to be taken out. 🤭

Long read 🥹

For the past few days, writing has been easier than speaking. Instead of using that as an excuse to hide, I’ve decided to share my thoughts in writing for however long this lasts. 🤭❤️

Today’s topic is for those who have experienced church hurt.

For context, I’m a pastor’s child. I’ve been in church all my life, and I’ve always loved it. Church is my happy place, especially choir rehearsals! 😂❤️ Hence, the pictures. Evidence, please! 🤭

Anyway, back to the topic.

People sometimes assume that because I’m a pastor’s child, I can’t relate to church hurt or that I’d dismiss their experiences.

But I’ve experienced church hurt too. Several times, actually.

At university, something happened at a church I attended that hurt me so badly I vowed never to attend another branch.

By law school, I was even happy we had campus fellowship because the closest church was another branch, and I didn’t want to go. 😂

Years later, I’ve healed, attended other branches and had beautiful encounters with God.

But even when I was hurt, I never blamed God for what people had done.

Perhaps I speak from a place of privilege because I grew up seeing God’s hand in my life.

Still, one thing I want us to remember is that human beings will human.

People will disappoint you, even in church. But people are not God. We cannot judge God’s character solely by the actions of imperfect human beings.

We often describe church as a hospital. Everyone needs healing in one area or another. Some struggles are visible; others aren’t.

That doesn’t excuse wrongdoing or invalidate your pain.

So, to anyone who has experienced church hurt, I’m genuinely sorry. You deserved better. ❤️

But please, don’t give up on God because of what someone did to you.

The arms of God are still open.

Whether you’ve stopped attending church or started questioning your faith, God still loves you.

I pray you find a healthy church community where you can experience genuine love, fellowship and spiritual growth.

Please, don’t let people’s actions rob you of your relationship with God. ❤️

And before I go, I forgot to ask: How are you doing? I hope you’re well. 🥹❤️

Udo diri gi. ❤️
