This question lives in the back of so many people's minds. Not because the relationship is bad. But because love that's been around for a while starts to feel like furniture always there, barely noticed.

You don't doubt them. You doubt the energy. You wonder if they'd still choose you now, knowing everything they know. You wonder if "comfortable" is just a polite word for "settling."

And you'll never know the answer unless you ask.

Here's the thing no one tells you about long-term relationships: the love doesn't leave. The questions do.

You stop asking "how are you really doing" because you assume you already know. You replace "what's on your heart" with "what do you want for dinner."

And one day you realize you're sharing a life with someone you haven't actually talked to really talked to in weeks.

That's not a failure. That's just life moving fast.
