A full day of horn at WIU! 🎶

We started with a group warmup, gathered for Community Horn Choir, and wrapped up with Evan Goodson’s recital. Students, community members, and faculty came together to make music and learn from one another.

WIU is building a vibrant community of horn players, and there’s always room for more horns!

This past week, members of the WIU trumpet studio had the incredible opportunity to participate in Orvieto Musica Trumpetfest, a one-week intensive experience for university trumpet players to participate in warm-up sessions, masterclasses, and rehearse and perform in Orvieto, Italy! Students collaborated with other trumpeters from Jacksonville State University and the University of Central Arkansas. Faculty included Dr. Amy Gilreath (University of Illinois), Dr. Angela King (University of Central Arkansas), Dr. Chris Probst (Jacksonville State University), and Dr. Nicole Gillotti (WIU).
