Over the past ten-plus years, I've had four features published in Chinese Photography magazine (one missing the images—thanks for that!). Big shoutout to Ju Miao and Chen Qiu.
Photography + rock music? Nah, that's not really my thing.
But the full-package creative art direction and execution in a 4A agency, mixed with real-life experiences + photography—that's totally me.
No more complaining about the ad industry from now on. Huge thanks to the two big brothers who mentored me back in the day—they were absolute legends during Ogilvy's golden era.
Still gotta keep pushing!

It is a great honor that my work, the “bblow-up 00:00” series, has been selected for see-zeen issue #17.

"In this issue our feature is Focus on Youth. The theme of youth has been a distinct and canonical genre since youth culture started creating a storm in the 1950’s. In our article, we present a short overview of its history together with the work of 9 photographers from countries as far apart as Turkey, China, South Africa and Hungary. The projects reveal moments from the lives of young people. While they face similar biological challenges of growing up, the coming-of-age journey is experienced differently within each country, city, and even within their own families, rendering each of their stories unique." by @wizard.tang

Replicate Thirty Minutes of Dopamine 02

Dimensions: 86 x 65 x 15cm
Materials: Stainless steel, Hahnemühle 100% cotton baryta art paper, cold mounting
Date: 2023

For a long time, I was obsessed with frequent online shopping. The most exciting part of each day was waiting for deliveries, but each package only sustained my excitement for thirty minutes. Then I'd wait for tomorrow's, and so it went on...
I combined completed images with an installation—a box-opening mechanism crafted from stainless steel. The shipping labels on it were collected, scanned, printed, and manually affixed from my daily routine.
Through this continuous transformation and integration, the original images gradually fade and mutate, ultimately becoming photographic installation artworks.
