TWO! 🏆🏆

What a fantastic night! We're absolutely thrilled to have won both Experience of the Year (for the second year running) and Independent Business of the Year

A huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists, especially @yorkdungeon for picking up three incredible wins, and @professorkettlestringyork for a well-deserved New Tourism Business Award 🍾🥂

Amazing glitter and sparkle from @facepaintyork too, plus cracking snaps from @boothomatic_uk and delicious chocs from @yorkcocoawrks 😋

🥇#1 Best in the WORLD!!! 🌍

BIG NEWS! After last night’s @tripadvisor Award we’ve also just been awarded FIRST place…Best Family Attraction in the WORLD!

We were 3rd in their global ‘Best of the Best’ Awards in 2023, but to get to 1st out of millions of attractions is absolutely MIND-BLOWING 🤩

It’s based on review data, visitor feedback and comments - we’re absolutely spellbound by the news and SO grateful!

We’re up there with Vila Encantada Dinosaur Park in Brazil (2nd) and an interactive pirate cruise in Florida (3rd). Dolphins in South Carolina are 4th and LEGOLAND California 5th! by @wizardwalkofyork

The winner of a double-whammy of family fun - four tickets to @officialcirquoise and four tickets for the @wizardwalkofyork - is (drumroll)...Sophie Reed aka @sophiewoolham, who entered here on Instagram! 🎪🧙‍♂️

Well done Sophie, I'll be in touch to arrange your tickets!

Didn't win? Keep your eye on the page for more giveaways, coming soon 👀 by @wizardwalkofyork

Celebratory meal out at the end of a busy week? It'd be shellfish* not to!

@choppingblockyork is one of our absolute favourite restaurants. Incredible roasts, seafood** and crème brûlée. Oh, and the French onion soup is like a party in my mouth! 😋

*Wind, rain and cold but at least nobody pulled...a mussel 🤪

**Seafood diet? See food n' eat it! by @wizardwalkofyork

THANK YOU to everyone who wand-ered on a Wizard Walk this week, and to all the businesses that kept me fed and caffeinated!

And many magical thanks to everyone who has stopped me in the street, or sent messages of support, about the new Facebook coffee shop group - it's been great to meet so many like-minded people who appreciate good coffee and cake, without the fuss by @wizardwalkofyork

November 1st. Halloween done. Festive fun ahead! by @wizardwalkofyork

Happy 11th Birthday @wheldrakes_cafe! 🎉

My treat today is doubling as birthday cake, marking 11 years as one of York's best coffee shops 🎂

Some of my jokes are old school (and there's more than a sprinkling of magic on The Wizard Walk!) Maybe that's why this Old School Cake calls to me. Nothing half-baked about it...it's sweet, light and oh so good!

It's up there as one of my all-time favourites, what's yours? 🤔

It might be Halloween, but did you know October 31st is also World Magic Day?

MAGIC is what we do, so we'll be celebrating that instead 🪄

FULL again all day today, and can't wait to keep things light with magic, fun and laughter aplenty!

This Halloween, you'll find no spooks or scares on The Wizard Walk 👻❌

With tours all day and into the evening though, we're making sure hundreds of visitors to York leave in...high spirits 🤪

And with so many jokes, you might say we put the Ha in Halloween! by @wizardwalkofyork

Halloween Oreo Cake Pops from @nicetoseeyoucafe? Monstrously good! 👹

I'm always surprised these aren't on sale more across York, as they're so POPular with kids (and big kids!)

Just watch they don't bite back...

It's a HOT ticket! Same story today, full across ALL Wizard Walks - with long waiting lists 🔥

We could take huge groups and fit more on, but that's not what we're about. We make sure everyone can see and hear (and we visit some cosy locations away from the hustle and bustle!)

It's never too early to book ahead, and you can bag your tickets now for term-time weekends, Christmas, February half-term and Easter 🎄🐣 by @wizardwalkofyork
