POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Two weeks in Australia with @lotrconcerts, the first revisiting Melbourne with all her wit and charm, the second discovering Sydney in all her beauty. In all that I’ve traveled, my breath hasn’t caught the way it did when I first saw the Sydney Opera House.

A delightful two weeks down under.

2,175 shows.

What a DREAM to add a few more pages to my Les Miz history with this stunning concert production at Radio City Music Hall.

Playing principal 2nd violin carried extra special meaning for me. My college viola teacher, Roland Vamos, played violin in the Radio City orchestra in 1949. My college conducting teacher, Victor Yampolsky, was principal 2nd of the Boston Symphony in the 1960’s. It was extra special doing this show that’s meant so much to me over the past 15 years, while honoring my musical heritage in this way.

Until the next one, tomorrow comes.

A very happy closing to our special revival of Chess.

Joining this company, first as a sub (thanks @drewjgriff !) then taking over the chair in March has been a wonderful way to spend the past few months.

To be reunited with so many friends, so many @northwesternu alums, to play under the baton of the GREAT @ianstagramiam , to be under the ever perfect section of @annaviolins, to play these Tony award nominated orchestrations by @brianusifer, it’s all been an 80’s rock dream.

Seriously though, who gets to play 80’s rock viola 8x a week?!

We will miss this special show. It was so much more than just a game. by @wjcurry

Three weeks in London assisting on the complete trilogy with the London Philharmonic at Royal Albert Hall.

Yes that’s a mouthful. Yes it was intense. Yes it was some exquisite, consistent music making.

Drank all the tea 🫖, visited the homeland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, and saw a spooky play 🧛🏽‍♀️. Oh, and Gandalf came to visit and introduce our final weekend of shows.

Celebrating 38 in London with Lord of the Rings!

Kensington, Fortnam & Mason, afternoon teas with my parents.

Lovely way to start off a new year at Royal Albert Hall surrounded by the London Philharmonic.

Did I mention I’ve consumed more tea than humanly possible?

Proof of life.

A little conduct and play with @hklo.nyc earlier this week. Beethoven and Brahms.

It’s giving “is he…ya know?”

We have a new player in our Cold War musical.

Honored to be taking over the viola chair at Chess! Thrilled to be back in the Imperial Theater, where I made my Broadway debut 12 (?!) years ago with Les Miz.

Come see board games on Broadway!

A most incredible evening.

Sharing the stage with a Broadway LEGEND, surrounded by some of my closest friends and colleagues in a quartet I founded simply out of the shared love of playing musical theater, all of it was astonishing.

Nothing beats that feeling of knowing this is exactly where you are supposed to be and that’s exactly how last night felt.

This is only the beginning for @bwaystrings and it was an incredible @carnegiehall debut. taken in Carnegie Hall by @wjcurry
