ISEC and Student Activities are partnering for our "Write a Letter to Your Troops" tabling event next Thursday, October 15th! Stop by to write a letter or a quick note to a service member who may not receive much mail. A small message of appreciation can go a long way and remind our troops that they are supported and appreciated.

When: Thursday, October 15th | 11:30 AM–1:00 PM
Where: DSU Lobby

Come by between classes, take a few minutes to write a note, and help us show our appreciation to those serving our country. We hope to see you there! by @wku_sa

Congratulations to the Givens Family, WKU’s 2026 Family of the Year!

Carley Givens, a fourth generation Hilltopper and Marketing major from St. Louis, Missouri, nominated her family, Debbie (‘97), Corey (‘99), and Clayton, for the award.

“It has been so special to experience the same university that shaped my parents’ lives and now watch it become an important part of my brother’s and my life.”

In her essay, Carley shared the story of how her parents met on the Hill.

“Both of my parents were involved in Greek life. My mom was a member of Kappa Delta, and my dad was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho. They met at Kappa Delta’s Barn Dance in 1995. I have WKU to thank not only for my college experience, but for bringing my parents together.”

Carley also highlighted the excitement of having her younger brother, Clayton, a Construction Management major, join her on the Hill last fall.

It is National Hazing Prevention Week, and the best way to prevent hazing is to know how to spot it and where to properly report it.

Hazing can happen in many forms, and recognizing the signs is an important part of creating a safer, more supportive campus community. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and speak up.

Know the signs. Know your resources. Look out for one another.
