To end 2025, I went back to El Salvador, my home away from home. Visiting my dad’s grave, spending quality time with family & being a tourist, is all truly a blessing and something I’ll never take for granted. Forever proud to be Salvadoran 🇸🇻

RIP to my dad, pops, my best friend, my role model. 🕊️

Pops was on his way to El Salvador with my mom and younger brother Junior to visit my grandma for the first time in 15+ years. Hours after reuniting with his mom, he collapsed and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Throughout several years, my dad has battled 3 different strokes leaving him partially paralyzed on his right side. Learning how to walk, talk, eat, everything that us everyday people don’t think about. But he persevered through it all being the strongest person I know.

Knowing his conditions and knowing deep down inside it was a matter of when, not how, I made more of an effort communicating with him everyday. Texting him that I love him, calling him to see if he needed anything. Taking him on nice dinners, baseball games, etc. Other than wishing for more time, I feel blessed that I spent my time with him. Made him smile, laugh, cry, etc.

I could go on and on about him. I could write a whole book but this isn’t the place for that. I’m here to let you know whether you know me or my dad personally, that he was the greatest dad and human being the world could ask for. Life will throw you curveballs at any moment and with that being said, grab your loved ones and hug them a little tighter. Communicate and be vulnerable. Death is scary and I don’t wish this upon anyone but with life comes death.

I’ll end this by saying that maybe this is what God wanted. Maybe my dad flew out knowing that he would reside next to his mom, on his home soil for Christmas. Maybe he was never feeling okay when we would ask him about his health and perhaps he is now painless. Please pray for my family and I as we go through these very, very difficult times.

One way to see and maintain results, is being consistent with what you consume on a regular basis. Below is my weekly meal prep for my work week:

Meal 1 (Breakfast):
Egg whites, Greek protein yogurt, protein shake, & vitamins

Meal 2 (Snack):
Energy drink & protein bar

Meal 3 (Lunch):
Salmon, rice, broccoli & hard boiled eggs

Meal 4 (Pre workout meal):
Rice cakes, nut butter, banana, & honey

Meal 5 (Dinner + Dessert):
Steak, fries, avocado, & unagi sauce
Mixed salad greens & soy ginger dressing
Prebiotic soda

Blueberries , strawberries, raspberries, & whipped cream

First of two stops for my weekly grocery run 😌

I prioritize buying organic fruits/vegetables and wild caught seafood.

High protein items such as Greek yogurt and steak.

& of course, everyone needs some snacks like some popcorn. Always treat yourself within moderation 😏
