INTERVIEW
Camilo Restrepo

“A Medicated Life” is the result of work produced during his residency in José Ignacio. Here, the psychiatric drug becomes the organizing axis of the composition. Restrepo presents an emotional logbook in which violence—the gravitational core of his formative years in 1980s Medellín—has finally been domesticated. It is trauma processed by the laboratory, filtered through the pharmaceutical industry to become, in appearance, harmless and aesthetically digestible.
