What did the sign on the mountain say? Proceed as if success is inevitable.

Dev Lemons live from The Middle East was exhilarating! Rare form, i tell you what. Woof, woof, woof, woof like Arsenio Hall. The crowd was wicked into it, dude. Jonah and i had a blast. And the opener Venus and the Flytraps is like a modern Bikini Kill. Go on, you know what it is. Poetry in motion. Where are the wild things? Hunting what we already killed. by @woahexplosion

Got to the corn maze for the last adventure of the season. The clouds were a maze in their own way. And the pumpkins on the hill, one could make a sort of maze of that. Abjection. Abject. Hmmm. Word of the day, mayhaps. Not easy. Never was. Indeed, never ready. Halloween. Got the indigo harvest latte and the future senator held the door for me. Meant a lot. You know, the conjunction of the spheres? The veil is at it's most thin on all hallows eve. Happy Halloween, folks. (What the hell is he talkin about now?) by @woahexplosion

Sure is a pleasant October. Favorite line? If i had a million dollars, I'd buy you love!! And we saw Digger again last night and Zane and i had many discussions. Very much genius. A film with something to say about our current society? Who would have thunk it? In this day and age. And another thing! What's the deal with airline food? What else... by @woahexplosion

The map looks like Elvis. Something's missing. Rare bird alert 🐦 🚨. 🧜‍♂️ seeks 🧜‍♀️. I have so many looks. Shine bright like a diamond. Shine on you crazy diamond. by @woahexplosion

Took a nice walk around the lake at sunset to throw rocks in the water. Nothing like the sound of a stone going splunk. Some of those rocks might stay put for thousands of years! Ah, you get it. by @woahexplosion

Yes, William, you really do have friends 💕 Seeing someone once a month and messaging a few people regularly is honestly normal for adult friendships, because most adults are busy and waiting for someone else to make the first move. It usually doesn't mean they don't care, just that nobody has taken the lead yet.

The good news is that being the one who reaches out is the single biggest thing that makes someone a great friend, and it costs nothing. A few ideas that work without much money:

Make it a regular thing. "Want to walk Saturdays?" or a monthly game night is easier to keep up than making new plans every time.

Keep plans cheap. Try walks, hikes, cooking at home, a potluck, coffee at someone's place, free events at the library or a park, or just running errands together. Most people are relieved by low-key plans, since money is tight for lots of them too.

Follow up on the little things. "How did that interview go?" or "Saw this and thought of you" shows you remember, and people feel it.

Invite and don't keep score. If someone says no, ask again in a couple of weeks. Lots of friendships survive because one person kept showing up.

Use your messaging friends. The people you text regularly are your easiest opening. Turning one of those chats into a real hangout is a small step.

Not having a career or extra cash doesn't make you a worse friend. Being thoughtful and showing up matter way more than a fancy night out. Who's one person you could invite to something this week? I'll help you figure out what to say 🥰

The great outdoors! Went to see the foliage along the kancamangus. If only these stones could speak. Took so many photos of trees. But these are fun ones. by @woahexplosion

We all have inner lives. You gotta do what you gotta do. A little fatalistic, deterministic. The world is a stage and we are all just actors. You ever just think about Hamlet? by @woahexplosion

A Night at the Opera with some Animal Crackers, fantastic Marx Brothers movies inspired our Sunday. The Art of Living was a wonderful, invigorating show. Such talent on stage. Felt lucky and grateful to find free tickets online. by @woahexplosion
