This is the second day I practically passed out in the afternoon. Nature is such a beautiful painter. I love when there are clouds during sunset, it reminds me of art you would see in a museum. by @woeful_work
Day 10 of forcing myself outside for sunrise & sunset until I’m a version of myself I’m proud of. Sunrise 010 | 11/01/26 A bit of a wet start to the morning, but it’s partially sunny now. This morning I got up at 6:00 AM, went outside for sunrise, made hummingbird food, refilled the three bird feeders, scooped my cats’ box, gave them fresh food and water, and made breakfast for myself, husband, and mom. I know this is some people’s normal, but I’ve been so depressed the last few months that there were days I wasn’t getting up until after 10 or 11 AM and I’ve been relying heavily on my husband and mom to help with the day-to-day. I feel like I’m making progress already. I’ve even been outside voluntarily a few times since sunrise. The cool air is a welcome change, though the weather report says it will be warming again for a few days. Day 8 of forcing myself outside for sunrise & sunset until I become a version of myself I’m proud of. Sunrise 008 | 10/30/26 This week’s goal: Establish and follow a bedtime routine. I heard having a routine can help prepare the brain for sleep. I recognize how important sleep is to mental and physical health, so this is a step towards prioritizing healthy sleep habits. 💤 Got to log a new bird today! A White-crowned Sparrow 🪶 Today’s Goals: ☑️ Go to Howl-O-Scream ☑️ Finish Homework ☑️ Practice with My Gimbal ☑️ Make Some Bracelets ☑️ Upload My Pictures to My Computer What’s one goal or habit you want to work on this week? by @woeful_work
Seven days apparently can make a difference. A week ago I challenged myself to get outside twice a day for sunrise & sunset. It may seem small, but I had realized there were days I hadn’t stepped outside at all. I’ve been taking my medication, eating better meals, and going to therapy, but something is missing. So I figured the lack of vitamin D was the place to start. I was right. It has made a difference. It’s getting easier to wake up. I feel more motivated. I’m handling things better. Even my confidence and self-esteem seem to be improving. In just 7 days. I want to keep going and add a goal a week. A new habit. A new skill. Something that helps me grow and start becoming a person I’m proud of. What’s a goal or a habit you want to start this week? by @woeful_work
Day 7 of forcing myself outside for sunrise & sunset until I become a version of myself I’m proud of. Today’s To-Do ✅ Ace today’s interview ☑️ Catch up on homework ☑️ Check-in on some paperwork issues I may have gotten 1/3 of what I wanted to do, but I got the most important thing accomplished: acing my interview — I got hired! Now taking care of myself and waking up earlier is more important. by @woeful_work
Am I getting old? Isn’t birdwatching a granny hobby? Oh well, I’m enjoying it anyway. Cooper’s Hawk, Mourning Doves, Crows, and a Hummingbird. I’ve downloaded the Merlin app. I’m about to be an absolute menace. by @woeful_work
Day 7 of forcing myself outside for sunrise & sunset until I become a version of myself I am proud of. Despite not going to bed until after 1 AM, I was awake at 6:30. I wonder if maybe I’m already starting to get used to waking up earlier. A busy day for the birds, my favorite Mourning Doves made an appearance and a Cooper’s Hawk 😍 Downside was getting bit by a mosquito. Today’s To-Do ☑️ Ace today’s interview ☑️ Catch up on homework ☑️ Check-in on some paperwork issues by @woeful_work
