✨ taken in Montcalm, Quebec by @wolfe.gj

Odd Balance

11: 7 guests - 3 guides - 1 dog

Self-care, self-love
Repeat between purges
Plenilune above
Firm wet earth is
Rich and will hold your bod
Healers feel sincere
You’re cared for. God-
Won’t be speaking to you tonight dear,
Other fish are frying
Kim, there’s people that are dying
It’s ok to be a bit let down
Expectations were profound
At least it wasn’t expensive
Yuck, that thought’s so offensive
Counting dollars incense
Sometimes I wish I could recommence
I suppose that’s why I sipped the medicine
Pickles looking at my salad like let us in
Predicaments need tending
Balance is qi, no cutting locks or circumventing
I’m believing it works in ways unseen
A dream, a subterranean stream

I recently had the pleasure of illustrating the article “Hydro Not Included” by Boshko Marik for the Summer Issue of @maisonneuvemag. The piece explores Marc-Antoine Goyette (@goyetteorgohome ) and Gabriel Lacombe’s “Chic Bidonville,” a deluxe bedroom built in the middle of an abandoned factory—meant as a response to Montréal’s housing crisis.

Available now online and in print @maisonneuvemag .

My illustration was inspired by Valérian Mazataud’s photos of “Chic Bidonville”.

Slide 13 is Seun Kuti at Glastonbury

Much of my research material has been provided as gifts and suggestions from friends and family. Thank you for being so inspiring and supportive ☺️🫶

PS. I’ve got a lot of other podcasts to recommend if ever you’re interested 😅 just say the word!

I’d love to hear from you though—

Where are you finding hope or clarity these days?
What could housing of the future look like?

With love and resistance,

I made this mini painting recently. It’s the first time I do an abstract pixelated piece like this… it was a little tricky to make and photograph (colours aren’t exact) but I’m happy with how it turned out.

I’m curious what you think of this direction and if anything comes to mind when you look at it? I’ve got my own references but I’ll keep that a secret unless you want to know by DM 🤫

TFW you’re out canoe camping, skipping rocks and showers, admiring nature, disconnecting... but you still got signal 👍YES! *I found this river rock as is, minus the blue paint*

Let me take this opportunity to say that I’ve got a solo exhibit coming up September 6-8th at @beagoodsport gallery in London, Ontario. “iMatter” opens on the 6th, 6-9pm!
It’s far from home I know but if you can’t (or can) make it, tell your friends! 🙏🥳 #iMatter #connectivity #readymade #contemporaryart #phoneart #rockart #themessenger #thumbsup #facebookart #instaartist taken in London, Ontario by @wolfe.gj

Last days to see Sous La Terre (until Oct 12) at @wip.works! Thanks again @zacsteen for inviting me to be a part of this dope show. Wish I could be there in person ❤️ sending you all love from Aotearoa.

This piece is « Add me on Snapchat ». Ceramic, glaze, porcelain paint. Life-sized based on iPhone 5s. From my Broken Telephone series.

A few words about the series:

Get the Apple status without the terms and conditions. These ceramic iPhones are just about the size and weight of an actual iPhone 5s, serving as excellent comfort objects for when you want to disconnect but you can’t leave the house without carrying the weight and bulge you’re accustomed to. These phones were thrown, cracked, dropped and stretched by hand in their raw clay form. Once fired, my grievances with digital communication were brushed on.

Little painting I made recently for my love @nitimueth 💗

Was my first time doing a photo transfer with mod podge but it won’t be the last! All the tutorials said to wait like a day for it to transfer but I just put the heat gun to it and waited 10mins and it worked just fine 🤷‍♂️. Let me know what you think!

🎵 Also the sick song playing is my cousin’s band @ancientgreece__ check em out! by @wolfe.gj
