JPCO’s SARGAM RETURNS FOR 2026!

Jaivant Patel Company and Arena Theatre present:

Sargam, A Vibrant Evening of Live Indian Classical Music

📆 : Saturday 26th September 2026 (7:30pm).

📍: @arena_theatre , Wolverhampton, WV1 1SE.

🎟️ : £18 (£14 Concessions).

🔗 : Via link in bio.

Indian classical music has two foundational elements, raga and tala. The raga, based on a varied repertoire of swara (notes), forms the fabric of a deeply intricate melodic structure, while the tala measures the time-cycle. The raga gives an artist a palette to build the melody from sounds, while the tala provides them with a creative framework for rhythmic improvisation using time.

This uplifting, inclusive, family friendly evening features some of the best British South Asian musicians and vocalists from the West Midlands and across the UK.

All are welcome to come and join us experience the melodious traditions of Indian classical music.

This event is part of JPCo’s 20th celebratory programme to reflect on legacy, acknowledge current evolution, and frame future vision.

Armed with an Instax Mini and a table full of craft supplies, participants built their own pop art self portraits and made memories that will live forever.

Families in Wolverhampton absolutely loved the ICON workshop at Same Difference Festival in West Park this past weekend.

Wolverhampton Art Gallery commissioned this session, and I’ll be bringing it back on 18 August to celebrate the Andy Warhol exhibition. Find me there, at Gazebo Theatre, and The Hub in Newport this summer.

Who would you make this memory with? Tag families and friends in the comments below 👇🏾
