Wrapping up Mabon season 🍁🪔🪶

One of my absolute favourite periods of a year is turning today. Golden sunshine and warm, light, golden evenings are coming to an end.

We’ve been letting things go and as the Wheel turns we are invited to embrace the darkness.

Good bye Mabon, hello Samhain 👻🪔🕯️ by @womens.circle.malmo

Samhain season is upon us 🕯️🪔🍁

Nature is slowly retreating to stillness. The leaves are falling, days are becoming shorter and nature prepares for winter rest.

We are invited to embrace endings, remember those who came before us, and turn inward.

Swipe through for a little seasonal inspiration and journaling prompts to connect with your own inner autumn.

Some easy magic to start playing with these days 🪄

🧹Enchant something you wear
🧹Visit a cemetery after dark and speak to the dead
🧹Leave a small offering of milk for the home spirits
🧹Make a wish at a crossroads after dark
🧹Ask your ancestors a question
🧹Try a spell you’ve always been curious about
🧹Find a plant growing near your home and learn its folklore
🧹Go somewhere rumored to be haunted
🧹Charm something you carry daily for luck
🧹Cook something using an ingredient chosen for its magic
🧹Write a secret wish
🧹Leave a candle in the window for the dead

Let me know which one you feel called to try 🪄🪶🕯️🧙 by @womens.circle.malmo

The word witch means so many different things to different people.
Some immediately imagine spells, crystals and pointed hats. Others think of persecution, folklore, feminine independence, herbal wisdom or spiritual practice.
But my interpretation is rooted in something wonderfully tangible: my relationship with nature, food, the seasons and the way I choose to live.

A little reminder that you don’t have to claim supernatural powers, practise a particular religion or follow a specific set of rituals to feel connected to the witch archetype.

Your personal interpretation can be about curiosity, intuition, traditional knowledge, self-reliance and reverence for nature.

For me it’s this: Rooted in the Earth. Open to the invisible. by @womens.circle.malmo

Autumn is a proof that death can be beautiful, too. by @womens.circle.malmo

I’ve always been drawn to the witch archetype 🧙

The wise woman who knew her herbs. The kitchen alchemists (oh, I am definitely one!) The one who lives close to Nature, notices the changing seasons, and finds magic in ordinary things.

And then I became a mamma.

For a moment, I wondered what would happen to all those little rituals and wild outings I loved so much.

Turns out, the magic didn’t disappear. It just got a little messier. A little slower (or MUCH MUCH slower lol). And a whole lot more tender.

These days, my little companion joins me on forest walks. I tell him the names of trees and berries, even though he’s far too young to remember them.
We celebrate the turning of the seasons, decorate pumpkins with pressed flowers, and fill our kitchen with the smells of herbs, spices, and things bubbling away on the stove.

Some days, our rituals last only a few minutes.
Some days, the most magical thing I manage is a warm meal and a cuddle. And I’m learning that counts, too.

Because perhaps being a witch was never about elaborate rituals or doing everything perfectly. Perhaps it’s simply about paying attention. Living with the seasons. Caring for what grows around us. And bringing a little intention into the everyday.

Motherhood hasn’t taken the witch out of me. It’s teaching me a whole new kind of magic. And I get to share it with my favourite little human 👶🏼🥰🙏🏼

Do you have any little rituals that make ordinary days feel magical? I’d love to hear them.

It’s been 15 years ago since I picked up a book that would stay with me in ways I couldn’t possibly understand back then.

‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle.

And earlier this week, I found myself sitting in the same room as the man who wrote it.

Being in his energetic field, soaking up his presence, his wisdom (and his adorable sense of humour, too).
What struck me most was how his teachings feel even MORE relevant today.

In a world that seems to be spinning faster and faster, keeps getting louder, and more distracted, the simple invitation to BE HERE feels almost revolutionary.

One thing Eckhart spoke about was the two dimensions of our existence.

The horizontal. Which represents our stories, identities, roles, past and future. All the things we believe make us who we are.
And the vertical. The true, deeper I. The stillness beneath all the noise. The part of us that exists beyond our thoughts, labels, and achievements.

Perhaps the real journey isn’t about becoming someone better, but remembering who we are beneath it all.

And here’s what I find beautiful. Every time I return to ‘The Power of Now’, I understand it a little more. Not necessarily with my mind, but with my heart, body, and soul.

And lately, I’ve been reading it out loud to my baby, too. Hoping that somehow, somewhere, a little bit of Eckhart’s wisdom will find its way into that tiny being. Even, if for now, it’s just the sound of my voice and a moment of presence we share together.
I’ll keep reading. Un-learning. And remembering to come back to the NOW.

Because ultimately, THIS moment is all we ever really have. by @womens.circle.malmo

🍂✨I can’t help it bu there’s a certain kind of magic that lives between Mabon and Samhain for me.

The enchanted in-between, when the world turns a thousand shades of gold, amber, red and rust 🍁

The trees put on their most spectacular show before surrendering their leaves to the earth. The hedgerows are heavy with rosehips, elderberries and hawthorn. Mushrooms emerge from the damp forest floor, pumpkins appear literally in every corner, and the air carries that unmistakable whisper of something shifting 🍄‍🟫🎃

Mabon celebrates the abundance of the harvest, the balance of light and dark. And as the wheel turns towards Samhain, the days grow shorter, the shadows longer, and the veil between worlds is said to grow thinner.

It’s a season of contrasts. Of abundance and decay. Of gathering and letting go.

And somehow, amidst all this beautiful transformation, the ordinary feels extraordinary.

Little hands of 5-month old reaching for pumpkins. My trays full of foraged treasures. Leaves crunching beneath my feet as I take my daily stroll. The quiet thrill of finding mushrooms tucked away in the woods.

The kind of everyday magic that only this period carries ✨

Are you feeling the magic of this in-between season too? What’s your favourite part? by @womens.circle.malmo

September or the period from Lammas to Mabon feels more like a new year than January for me, signalling fresh starts and organising for the season ahead. Long lazy summer days sre coming to an end. Transitions are in the air and the seasonal shift can be felt in my bones.

As we slowly but surely start to lean towards the darker half of the year, here are some simple rituals to prepare yourself for this shift. by @womens.circle.malmo

Today we welcome the Autumn Equinox, Mabon, and the beginning of astronomical autumn. And quite possibly my favourite turning of the year 🥰🍂🌾

There’s something about this particular threshold that always feels like coming home.
For one brief moment, light and darkness meet as equals. And from here, the scales begin to tip. The evenings grow longer, the air turns cooler, and the world slowly starts drawing its energy inward.
In the Wheel of the Year, Mabon is a celebration of the harvest. It’s a time to gather what has ripened, give thanks for what has sustained us, and acknowledge that not everything is meant to be carried into the season ahead.

And maybe that’s what I love most about autumn.
It reminds us that letting go can be beautiful, too.

That slowing down isn’t the same as standing still. That there is wisdom in gathering close, tending the hearth, filling the pantry, pulling out the woolly layers and allowing life to become a little smaller, softer and more intentional.

The season of golden light, crisp mornings, apples and mushrooms, candles lit earlier each evening, steaming mugs held between cold hands, and that unmistakable smell of autumn in the air 🕯️🍎🍄‍🟫

So here’s to the darker half of the year and all the quiet magic waiting within it.

Happy Autumn Equinox & blessed Mabon!

With love,
B by @womens.circle.malmo

We don’t need more reels and brainwashing content. We need nature, presence, time with the Land and listening to Trees and Water.

And each season offers its own unique spin on it. I’d hate for you if you’d miss it. by @womens.circle.malmo

I think I was about 14 or 15 when I first became fascinated by witchcraft. Spells. White magic. Potions. Herbs. Books about things I didn’t fully understand yet, but somehow felt deeply drawn to. I remember burning sage in my bedroom one day. My mum walked in, smelled the smoke and said: “What are you doing in here, you little witch?” 🖤 I kind of loved it.

Back then, witch didn’t quite have the same meaning it has for me today. The witch I grew up seeing was the ugly old woman with the crooked nose. The broom. The cauldron. Evil spells. Someone strange. Someone to fear.
And that stereotype didn’t come from nowhere. For centuries, people accused of witchcraft, mostly women, were feared, persecuted and turned into symbols of something dangerous and outside what society considered acceptable. Maybe that’s the part I find most fascinating: How easily we fear what we don’t understand.
The unfamiliar. The unconventional. The person who doesn’t quite fit the box.
20 years later, I’m still making potions.
Herbal infusions. Wild plants. Flowers drying from the ceiling. Little rituals. Working with the seasons. Following my intuition. Connecting with nature, spirit and myself.
Some of it is herbalism.
Some spirituality.
And some of it I’m perfectly happy calling witchcraft🔮
Maybe that 15-year-old burning sage in her bedroom knew something after all.
She wasn’t going through a phase.
She was just at the beginning.
