I finally got my autographed copy of @kehuyquan’s memoir Never Say Die. I can’t recommend it enough. His life’s journey is an incredible one going from refugee to Academy Award winner and it’s an inspirational story about never giving up and never saying die! #Goonies #GNSD #KeHuyQuan #NeverSayDie by @wondermonkey78

This was taken just before I called @steveguttenberg “Lobo”. When I did, he immediately went into character and gave me a fantastic monologue performance complete with Lobo’s New Zealand accent. If you ever get the chance to meet Steve in person, take it! He is such a kind, funny and approachable human being. #ShortCircuit #WhoIsJohnny #Lobo taken in Astoria, Oregon by @wondermonkey78

One of my favorite moments from the Short Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration this weekend in Astoria.

For the ’80s prom, I went all in as Jareth, the Goblin King from Labyrinth—spandex tights, wig, makeup, and all. But the real star was my friend Emily Wright, who flew in from Australia and spent THREE MONTHS painstakingly recreating Sarah’s iconic ball gown by hand, stitching on countless beads and gems to make it movie-accurate.

When we walked into the dance, something completely unexpected happened. The DJ stopped the music, announced our arrival, and immediately cued up David Bowie’s “Magic Dance.” The dance floor cleared, all eyes turned toward us, and we found ourselves giving an impromptu Jareth and Sarah performance in front of the entire room.

It was completely spontaneous, slightly terrifying, and absolutely unforgettable. Sometimes you commit to a costume and the costume commits right back.

As if that wasn’t magical enough, word quickly spread and eventually reached Toby Froud aka the real Labyrinth babe. He was gracious enough to make a surprise visit and spent the evening taking pictures with us and chatting about both his experiences in Labyrinth and the work he is currently doing in the film industry. It was very heartwarming to see that Toby still embraces the legacy of Labyrinth and truly appreciates the fandom that still loves it. #80sprom #Labyrinth #MagicDance
