Yongkang is the quieter, more laid-back side of Taipei, away from the heavier crowds of the city’s major tourist spots. It’s known for charming side streets, curated shops, cozy cafés and local Michelin local eats. 🇹🇼👍

The very first and original Din Tai Fung began there in 1958 as a cooking-oil shop, before becoming famous for xiaolongbao. ❤️

I kept the beautiful packaging from my daughters’ gifts throughout 2026. ❤️

So our Christmas Tree is more than just pretty boxes, they represent the creativity, hard work, and dedication behind their careers as content creators. 🎄

There comes a moment in a mother’s life when you realize that the little girl you once guided is ready to make the biggest decision of her own. 😭

For my daughter Bianca, that decision was New York. 🍎🚕

She could have stayed in Manila, surrounded by family and everything familiar, but she chose to move halfway across the world, live independently, and discover what life had waiting for her. ✈️🌍

But before New York, let me take you back to who B has always been. ⌛️

Bianca was born just a month after we celebrated Alyanna’s first birthday. I had prayed for sunshine, and promised that if my prayer was granted, I would name my second-born after St. Claire. And so, we came up with the beautiful name Bianca Clarisse, a name born from a prayer, a promise, and a little ray of sunshine. ☀️✨

As many moons went by, Bianca discovered a love for the kitchen, and baking soon became one of her favorite hobbies. Fed herself unaided at the age of 1 year old. 🥹

Her journey took a few turns along the way. She once attended culinary school where she explored her love for cooking and baking. 🧁🍪Eventually, she traded her rolling pin and cute apron for a laptop and entered the School of Business at DLSU, telling us, “I want to be an entrepreneur.”👩‍💻🎓

But perhaps her future had already started taking shape at 15, when she began selling vintage clothes online. That small venture eventually led her to be a content creator, a career she continues to love today. 👍🤩

Then came New York.

Sometimes I wonder, what if she had chosen to stay instead of leave? Perhaps her life would have taken a completely different path. But looking at the woman she has become, I know she made the right choice. 🥹🫶🏻

Today, my Bianca is independent, grateful, happy, and living the life she chose for herself. 😍💕

Of course, I still miss having her close to home. But even more than that, I am proud to watch her create a life that truly belongs to her. ☺️

And the most exciting part?

This is only the beginning of her story. ❤️
