I’m excited to share that I’ve recently launched my own brand—MKRS (pronounced “makers”). Since I first studied fashion, I fell in love with the art of making—the process of bringing ideas to life. That passion led me to work as a patternmaker, technical designer, and designer at some of New York’s most respected brands, including Thom Browne, Rag & Bone, Theory, and Kith. Through my career, I learned that fashion isn’t about a single collection or moment. It’s built season by season, iteration by iteration, shaped by those who believe in craft and the pursuit of something greater. With that lesson, I envisioned creating something of my own. After years of learning, experimenting, and collaborating with talented people in the industry, that vision is now a reality—MKRS. With MKRS, I set out to build something rooted in that philosophy—a brand that merges modern tailoring with technical fabrics, what we call technical tailoring, designed for those who value versatility and function. Over the past few months, I’ve committed myself to launching MKRS—an entrepreneurial journey in every sense. From sketching and sourcing fabrics to making patterns, refining samples, managing logistics, overseeing production, and even designing the website myself, every step has broadened my perspective on what it takes to build a brand. Moving from established fashion houses to creating something from the ground up has given me a completely new outlook, and I believe every challenge along the way was necessary.
