POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

From a simple idea to a full-scale 16.3 hand dressage horse… this one has been an incredible journey from start to finish.

Every curve, every line, and every detail carefully shaped to capture the elegance, power, and presence of a true dressage horse. Countless hours in the workshop bringing steel to life, turning a vision into something you can feel movement in even while it stands still.

And today, it’s been delivered to its forever home to a fantastic customer who trusted me with their vision from day one — I can’t thank you enough for the support and belief in my work.

This is why I do what I do… turning ideas into lasting pieces that mean something.

On to the next one 🛠️🐎

This one was a labour of love 😅

Hundreds of horseshoes, hours of shaping, and a lot of patience to bring it to life.

Pieces like this don’t just sit in a space — they transform it 🩶

This sculpture was such a special commission piece. I now have space in my diary from May onwards for more custom commissions. However, I do book up really quickly 😀

This isn’t just a horse.
It’s your favourite stance 🐎✨

I create bespoke steel horse sculptures inspired by the pose and presence you love most — whether that’s strong and grounded, calm and elegant, or full of movement and power 💫

You choose the stance.
I bring it to life in steel 🔥

Each sculpture is:
✨ Hand-crafted from solid steel
✨ One of a kind
✨ Shaped by eye, not moulds
✨ Built to live indoors or outdoors 🌿

These pieces aren’t replicas — they’re artistic interpretations, designed to capture the feeling of a horse, not copy a specific one 🤍

If there’s a pose you’re drawn to — head lowered, mid-stride, proud and still — let’s talk 🐎

🐾 There’s nothing quite like seeing your work in its new home! ❤️

I absolutely love receiving photos and videos from customers showing me where my sculptures have ended up.

This lovely video was sent over by the customer who commissioned my sitting-up dog sculpture, and it’s wonderful to see him proudly taking his place in such beautiful surroundings! 🐶

For me, creating a sculpture doesn’t end when it leaves the workshop. Seeing it become part of someone’s home and knowing it’ll be enjoyed for years to come is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

A massive thank you to my customer for taking the time to send this over. It really does mean a lot! ❤️

A Throwback to Lonely Joe ❤️

With what feels like a heavy cloud hanging over Rugeley lately, I wanted to share a piece of my work that has always meant a great deal to me.

Meet Lonely Joe.

I created Joe as a representation of something we don’t always see — the struggles people carry beneath the surface.

His fragmented form represents the parts of ourselves that can sometimes feel broken, lost or disconnected. A reminder that even when someone appears to be standing strong, we never truly know what they’re going through.

With the recent sadness and loss within our community, including lives lost to suicide, I think it’s more important than ever that we try to bring a little light into each other’s lives.

A smile, a conversation, a simple act of kindness or just taking the time to ask someone how they really are can mean more than we’ll ever know.

Life can be incredibly difficult at times, and none of us has all the answers. But we do have the ability to show compassion, to listen without judgement and to remind people that they matter.

Let’s try to replace some of that darkness with light, kindness and positive energy.

Let’s look out for our neighbours, check in on our friends and remember those who might be struggling quietly.

And if you’re the one finding things difficult right now, please know that you don’t have to face everything alone. There are people who care, people who will listen and people who want you here.

I created Lonely Joe from steel, but the message behind him has always been about being human.

Be kind. Be present. Be someone’s light when their world feels dark. ❤️

Sending love and strength to everyone in Rugeley who is going through a difficult time, especially the families and friends who have lost someone.

also i’m going to pop down this week and give it a coat of protection oil before the winter sets in 😊

🦊 TWICE THE SIZE, WITH A FEW NEW DETAILS… 🐭

Some of you may recognise this fox from a sculpture I created previously at life-size.

This time, I decided to revisit the design at DOUBLE life-size — and give it a little more of a story.

The fox is once again captured stalking a tiny mouse, but for this version I’ve added handmade steel leaves scattered across the ground, creating a woodland scene and giving that little mouse somewhere to try and hide! 🍂🐭

Made predominantly from reclaimed horseshoes, each one is individually shaped and positioned to build the form and movement of the fox, with fabricated steel details bringing the face and character to life.

I really enjoy revisiting an older design and seeing how changing the scale — and adding a few new details — can completely transform it.

At twice life-size, this one certainly has some presence! 🦊

What do you think — should I revisit any of my other sculptures at double scale?

❤️ This is why I create art.

During a conversation today, the organiser of this memorial garden forwarded me a message she had received from somebody who had visited.

This was the message:

“Just been to the burial ground, my late husband was buried last Friday I wasnt coping at the grave so sat on the bench, the statue next to it was lovely, hope it was ok but did spin the top section. Well just wanted to say what a lovely thought to put it in there. Weird that something like that helped me today.”

I don’t think I could receive a message that better explains why I create art.

When I made this piece, I could never have known who would one day sit beside it, interact with it, or what they might be going through at that moment.

To know that something I created with my own hands gave somebody even a small amount of comfort during such an incredibly difficult time means more than any award, sale or recognition ever could.

Once my sculptures leave my workshop, they aren’t really mine anymore. They become part of people’s homes, communities, memories and, in this case, some of the most personal moments of their lives.

Sometimes art doesn’t have to change the world. It just has to make one difficult moment a little easier. ❤️

What a photo! 🌅🐴

A huge thank you to my customer for sending me this absolutely stunning photo of their horseshoe horse sculpture in its new home.

Seeing one of my pieces after it has left the workshop is always special, but with a sunset like this behind it… I don’t think I could have asked for a better backdrop!

Thank you again for trusting me to create this piece for you, and for taking the time to send these beautiful photos. It’s always incredibly rewarding seeing my work being enjoyed where it belongs.

Handmade from horseshoes, built to last, and hopefully enjoyed for many years to come. ❤️

🐷 Meet the latest creation from the workshop!

Something a little different this time — a handmade pig sculpture, built almost entirely from reclaimed horseshoes. 🔥🔨

I wanted to make sure it had plenty of character, so rather than just getting the general shape of a pig, I’ve tried to capture those little details — the big ears, eyes, long snout and, of course, that unmistakable piggy nose! 😂🐽

Each horseshoe has been individually positioned and welded to build the shape and contours, turning something that’s spent its life under a horse into something completely new.

What do we reckon… does he need a name? 👀🐷

🦌 From one majestic stag… to a whole family. ❤️

I made the stag for this wonderful customer previously, and I was thrilled when they came back and commissioned me to create a doe and her fawn to complete the family.

Seeing them all standing together is pretty special — they look absolutely stunning as a trio. 🦌🦌🦌

Each one individually handmade from steel, bringing a little piece of the wild into the garden. 🔥⚒️

What do you think of the finished family?

🦌 A Family Complete 🦌

Some commissions are extra special because they’re part of a story.

A while ago, I had the pleasure of creating a majestic stag for a wonderful customer. I was absolutely delighted when they got back in touch and asked me to add to him — this time with a doe and her fawn, creating a complete family. ❤️

Seeing all three standing together is something else. The stag watching proudly over them, with the doe and little fawn beside him — they look like they were always meant to be together.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about a customer returning and trusting me to add another chapter to a piece I’ve already created for them.

I think they look absolutely stunning as a family. 🦌🦌🦌

Thank you once again for trusting me to bring your idea to life.
