My guy @johan_the_domeguy built me this massive rug tufting frame last year!
It is 12.5' x 7' and is mounted to the ceiling beams in my studio..
It has two sets of carpet tack strips running all the way around.
Each side is comprised of two 2x4"s affixed in an L shape, maximizing durability and preventing sagging.
It takes me around 20 minutes to stretch (as long as I get the center lined up from the start!) and it does require occasional retightening while tufting.

I get my primary tufting cloth from @tufttheworld! Happy to answer any rug making questions :)

I love the puzzle-like, interactive play this mini waterway provides - I would LOVE to create this at a full-size scale: modular riverway rug runners that take you from room to room.. this piece is currently in the Childrens room at the Curry County Library in Gold Beach!

Made entirely of wool yarn using the rug-making technique of tufting- shoutout to company 'Tuft Love' @tuftgun for their superior tufting tools!!

Here i'm working on the canopy of a Monterey Cypress Tree - part of the 'Forest Sanctuary/ Riverway Refuge' installation at 'Wallys House Child Abuse Intervention Center' in Gold Beach, Oregon.
