Fall days + apple picking + my favorite little sidekick 🍎🍂🤎

We had the sweetest day at @kapnickorchards picking apples, sipping cider, and making some of those little memories I know I’ll want to hold onto forever. 🥹

@kingorchards up in Central Lake, Michigan was the perfect place for our first apple picking experience.

The Just For Kids kit by @rockfordpack are absolutely perfect for the littles and they were so thrilled to have their OWN bag of apples THEY picked!😊

I can’t believe we waited so long to go Apple picking!

ONE MORE SATURDAY! 🛍️

If you haven’t made it to the @merchants.and.makers ArtPrize Makers Market yet, you’ve got one more chance!

I stopped by and spent the day wandering through SO many local artists, makers and small businesses — and this is definitely more than just a shopping market. Grab some food, listen to live music, discover some really talented local makers and make an afternoon of it while you’re downtown for ArtPrize.

The final market is THIS Saturday:

If you’re in the middle of a home project right now, put local furniture stores on your list!! 🏡

We’re currently working on my son’s bedroom & our home office, so I’ve been paying a lot more attention to where we’re buying furniture. And it really helps to actually talk to someone who knows their products!

That’s what stood out to me about @bellshomefurnishings in Rockford. You can take your time, ask questions, get honest guidance, & actually see + feel the furniture in person. It feels personal and approachable in a way that’s harder to find.

And honestly, shopping for furniture locally just makes sense here. Grand Rapids has been known as “Furniture City” for generations, & West Michigan still has some incredible furniture stores!

Bell’s is part of that story too. They’ve been serving West Michigan since 1951, and three generations of the same family have been part of keeping this Rockford business going.

So if you’re furnishing a room, replacing a piece that’s seen better days, or just want to shop somewhere where you can actually get some guidance, stop in & take a look.

✨ INFLUENCER SPOTLIGHT: BROOKE DOHM ✨

Meet Brooke Dohm, also known as @colordohm 💄

Brooke started her influencer journey back in high school, experimenting with makeup and falling in love with the creative process. When COVID gave her more time to create consistently, everything clicked—and she realized content creation was something she wanted to seriously pursue.

Today, Brooke uses her platform to share her journey of finding herself, building confidence, and becoming the person she wants to be, with the hope of inspiring her followers to do the same. 🤍

And she’s just getting started! Brooke is heading into her final year of college and pursuing a career in beauty & fashion marketing, combining her love of beauty with her passion for strategy and creativity.

We’re excited to see where her creativity takes her next! ✨

This weekend we went into Downtown Grand Rapids to check out @merchants.and.makers! There were SO many vendors to check out, it was amazing! We had so much fun exploring downtown while browsing all of the beautiful art and local creations being sold at the market! Highly recommend you check it out, this Saturday October 3rd is their last day!

I was blown away by the amount of vendors at @merchants.and.makers on Saturday! The streets were covered and there is literally something for everyone!

Jack and I had the best time and came home with so many things.

Some of our favorites include....

Surprise pieces from @potterylanegr

All the fidgets and 3d printed things from Brady's fidget factory
