POSTS STORIES REELS

Dangerous Impulses is so good and Nonna is the surprise character I never realized they all needed. She’s been in the previous books, but now they live in Colorado and Laurel is staying with her, so she’s really been dealt in. I thought she would’ve taken the news that her Cassie was working on such dangerous assignments badly, but instead she’s nosy and meddlesome, not willing to back down until they are all happy. With Project Mistletoe as the heart of this story, making the Naturals feel like even more of a family, which I loved. Their abnormal shenanigans and serial killer hunting ways lurk on every page. To make it even better Jennifer Lynn Barnes says this isn’t the last we will see of The Naturals! Safe to say I’m already ready for the next book!

Dangerous Impulses by Jennifer Lynn Barnes comes out tomorrow, November 3, 2026, so make sure you grab a copy!

Here’s to more @yallfest prep and meeting my reading goal for the year! 🎉

Allyson goes on a trip to Europe after graduation. Everything is planned and prearranged by her parents and the tour she’s on. On the last day of the tour she meets guy who then whisks her away to Paris. With just one magical day together, he then haunts her for an entire year. The question of where he disappeared to won’t let her move on. This book has all of the feels and Allyson keeps thinking about giving up just when I’m hooked and then it just ends! Suffice to say I will be reading book 2. 😅

Midnight Mooring wraps up Samantha Young’s Scottish Isles series with Cameron and Forde’s story. They grew up together and Cameron has always hoped for more with Forde. When their connection goes too far one night, Forde quickly hits the breaks. Now it’s years later and Cameron has given up on the idea of Forde, or at least she working on it. Meanwhile Forde is finally seeing what he’s been missing and is determined to get Cameron to let him in one more time. Their push and pull relationship is only amplified by all of the dangerous situations they keep finding themselves in. A fantastic story, wonderful audiobook, and while I’m going to miss this series, Samantha Young introduces her next couple in this book and I already can’t wait for their story!

Midnight Mooring by @authorsamanthayoung comes out October 29, 2026! Thanks to the author for providing me with a physical copy and @houseofheartslit for the ALC so I could make it an immersive read.

More @yallfest prep!

The first time I read 13 Little Blue Envelopes there wasn’t a sequel and the 13th envelope was a complete unknown. I’m glad I came back to this series and read the sequel. The Last Little Blue Envelope really gave Ginny’s story a better sense of completion and hope for the future. This series is such a fun trip around Europe with lots of interesting and unusual artistic twists and turns.

This is a fantastic book for immersive reading! The story has so many graphics thrown in that the audio really brought to life. At the same time I would pause the audio to give myself more time to examine all of the extras too. The layout of this book reminded me of the history textbooks I had back in school, but way more engaging. This story can teach you about the world and government, but in a way that just has you rooting for change and to bring back youth. It’s a great story and who as a kid didn’t think about a kid being president? Definitely worth checking out!

Another great fall book! This is the second book in the Sweetwater Peak series and it’s time for Clarke’s story. She’s had a crush on Leith since they were in school together, but she’s over that now. When he comes to her needing help with his farm they end up fake dating. Soon feelings are happening and what’s supposed to be fake is feeling real for both of them. This is a great romance and conclusion to the drama that started in Soul Searching.

Well I finally caught up and read Threshing Day. It was interesting to learn a bit more about each character and the secrets of their dragons. This book felt like filler, but maybe that will change as the story continues. Maybe the little secrets shared will actually prove important, just have to wait and see. I enjoyed it either way.

My reread of The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is complete, so now I need Dangerous Impulses! This is one of my favorite series, the mystery throughout the series is just incredible! I can’t wait to read the next book and see what new mysteries Jennifer Lynn Barnes cooks up.

💭What upcoming release are you excited for?

I heard the movie for this one is coming out this year, so I figured now was the perfect time to read the book! This is a time loop romance, where Mae finds herself reliving her Christmas with her family and family friends over and over again. It was a cute holiday romance and I liked the friends to lovers trope, but the time loop part felt incomplete to me. I’m excited to see the movie adaptation and if they make any changes to the story.

Well two shelves deep and I’m still excited for The Last King of Faerie! I will always want more Shadowhunter books. 😊

Another great holiday story! Ella is overworked and overwhelmed, but just keeps moving forward because she has bills to pay. When she gets invited to the Christmas party she grew up around, she can’t believe she’s invited only to show up and realize she’s part of the help for the party. Things just gets worse from there and before she knows it she’s being accused of murder. Ella knows hard work though and she’s determined to clear her name, no matter what. The mystery in this one is crazy!

💭What are your thoughts on nutcrackers?
