Mists of solitude Donā€™t think I havenā€™t clung, to the empty, edge of the abyss because I soaked in syrup of stars I burned those bloodless creatures that sucked the reminisce of souls. Donā€™t think I havenā€™t bathed, in the debris of self-destruction, because I chortle cargos of crystals. I crawled through mines of mindlessness, to convert a calm connection. Donā€™t think I havenā€™t been drenched, by the rains of loneliness because I collected friends like pebbles Iā€™m soothed by the mists of solitude where I can revel in natureā€™s blessings Artwork -Solitude Piotr Dura #solitude #battlingwiththemind #goingbacktonature by @words.interrupted
Things I know ā€œI know not to judge a day by the harvest you reapā€ Planting seeds of change that will someday seep in cracks of blotted crevices under a mountain of memories, as all you learnt becomes unearthed, as you sift through grey, stale matter for nuggets of gold, treasures to behold, perennials with purpose, petals of vessels all that sparkles with clarity. I know the heron gliding, gracefully casting awe over the horizon was a gift. I know the red kite with itā€™s razor folked tail, was mine- for the blink of an eye. I know, I can but try to keep momentum, in this reflection, of these thoughts of mine. I know time is never wasted -conversing with a neighbour, wearing smiles on your lips although they are a stranger, you or they could be the saviour of a day. And I know not to turn the other cheek to the suffering we see unleashed, I feel it deep inside, I canā€™t hide this divine definitive that we -the privileged of the West should request the end of genocide! Sometimes my mind goes somewhere but always ends with the same thought. #endwar #endgenocide #endtheapartheid #freepalestine #ceasefirenowšŸ‡µšŸ‡ø by @words.interrupted

Pride Night was an unbelievable success! šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ Thank you so much to everyone who came along and helped make the evening so special. Here are a few images of Jack Savageā€™s photo booth setup during the night. #pride #luminaartsalliance #Photographyworkshps by @words.interrupted
A blemish on the market square They filmed them bodies curled in doorways Cardboard stitched into mattresses, left in plain sight, as if they disturbed the design Keyboards rattled from sheltered rooms, shaking heads ā€˜Why donā€™t they justā€¦ā€™ as if lives unravel neatly as if hardship has a switch. I read someone say, in the comments below ā€˜Send the foreigners back firstā€™ as if kindness has borders, as if pain need a passport to matter No one filmed the scaffolding of absence- locked doors, boarded windows Buildings standing tall and silent, holding nothing but dust delay. West Northampton Council Spent 13.5 million reshaping the square Lifting cobbles laid in the 13th century, worn smooth by the weight of passing lives- ghosts pressed into every surface Stones laid carefully, the voices of the market traders echoing into an empty void for gatherings for events for a better picture- while buildings stand empty and they filmed them sleeping in plain sight We step around people, but do not ask questions How do we hold empty space empty hands in the same town and not see the connection? How do we measure worth in bricks kept safe or people outside of them? Judgement is easy. It costs nothing to look away and label Because somewhere between the boarded buildings and rough sleepers is a story we are not telling And maybe thatā€™s the one that needs to be heard #homelessness #northamptontown #poetrycommunity Written in response to a recent media coverage and comments about homelessness in Northampton town. Something that made me rage inside so I wrote it down. by @words.interrupted

SGITHEACH Perhaps the cloud of hawthorn- Sgitheach- with its dainty white petals descending like snow, breath lifting from the hedgerow- might offer a kind of rescueā€¦ From the old places summons rises; From the old places there is a stirring a subtle shifting, the ache of venerable wounds meeting a concoction of cures offerings have been given- bone, breath bright bloom of stars- and still they demand moreā€¦ Shadows try to uproot what is rooted mistaking softness, for fragility light for something that can be diminished They did not know the spine was forged of old stone and storm light they did not know the name was written in bark and bedrock because the Hawthorn Sgitheach- is a supernatural force the thorns cut through every superficial action every egotistical voice and whatever rises in its shadow carries the weight of truth- #hawthorn by @words.interrupted
Semilong Blooms" by Jack Savage in association @greenspacessemilong , @northamptonshoe & @northampton_tc is a photographic series documenting some of the people behind Semiilong Garden Project, a grassroots community initiative established by Lou Troy . Louise formed a community constitution of committed volunteers to transform the derelict space. The space was originally filled with litter and graffiti tarnished the walls. Sat 18th April - Sun 18th May 2026 Northampton Museum & Art Gallery @words.interrupted @travilljethro @farzanaaldridge The series highlights some of the residents, volunteers, and families who helped bring this project to life, transforming a neglected strip of Northampton into a thriving space for creativity, connection, and community. Each portrait celebrates the individuals whose collective effort turned overlooked land into a place of pride, joy, and shared ownership. #documentaryphotography #fineartphotography #photographyteaching #semilong #northamptonphotography by @words.interrupted
Walls of Change is about transforming more than just physical spacesā€”itā€™s about reclaiming neglected environments and turning them into places of connection, creativity, and growth. These garages had been covered in tagging and degraded the walk to the garden šŸŖ“ Through collaborative effort, each transformation reflects the voices of the community, bringing colour, meaning, and pride back into shared spaces. What was once overlooked becomes something that invites people in, sparks conversation, and encourages a sense of belonging. At its heart, Walls of Change is about empowerment. It creates opportunities for people to take ownership of their surroundings, learn new skills, and be part of something visible and lasting. These changes may start with paint and design, but their impact goes far deeperā€”building confidence, strengthening relationships, and inspiring future ideas. Because when a wall changes, so does the way people see the spaceā€”and themselves within it.
