Guess who is a PUBLISHED WRITER now😭😭 yes- it's Shyamali Dey aka Diya. Never in my dream i thought that I will write my own book and published it. Every sleepless night, every page I almost gave up on, every word that carried a piece of me - it’s all here now, bound together in my very first book. A dream I once whispered to myself is finally in your hands.

The lost letter ~
Each slide has the translation of its page in caption <3

Some letters never reach their destination.
Yet, they are never truly lost. They remain hidden between the pages of an old book inside the darkness of a wooden box, or in some quiet corner of someone’s heart waiting for a day when someone will finally find them.

I was cleaning the old house for the last time before it was sold. Every room seemed to hold a piece of the past an old clock that no longer worked, yellowed photographs, a forgotten diary, dried flowers pressed between pages.

Then I noticed an old book lying on the bottom shelf of a wooden cupboard. The moment I picked it up, an envelope slipped onto the floor.

It was yellow with age. There was no stamp, no postmark.

Only a sentence written on the front

“For the one who will read this someday.”

I stared at it for a while. Curiosity won. I opened the envelope. Inside was a letter. The ink had faded in places but the words were still clear.

“When you read this letter, perhaps I will no longer be beside you. Perhaps we will both have gone far away from where we once were. Perhaps you will have forgotten me. But there is something I still want to say. I could never promise you forever. I could never promise that I would always be there but I can tell you this you were one of the most beautiful parts of my life. Do you remember that day when it was raining? You asked me, ‘Do some people really stay? I smiled and said ‘Not everyone does.’ Today, I know I was wrong. Some people stay. They don't stay beside us. They don't call, they don't talk, they don't remain a part of our everyday lives but somehow, they stay in a song, in a familiar scent, in the sound of rain, or in a memory that suddenly returns without warning. You are one of those people. You don't have to remember me but if, someday, on a rainy afternoon, you suddenly think of me, just know that somewhere there was a person who loved you very quietly. Take care....Always.”

There was no name at the end, only a date.

17 August 1928.

I sat there silently for a long time.

Whose letter was it?
Who had written it?
And who was it meant for?

I began searching through by @wordsofdiya__

Ram Raag/राम राग-
By the infinite grace of Pujyapad Gurudev Bhagwan, and the divine blessings of Shri Sita Ram Ji, we have been able to accomplish something that once felt far beyond our reach.

Truthfully, this piece was never something I believed I could write. The thought lingered quietly, almost hesitantly, before it finally found its way to me—and when I shared it with the other fellows, I did so with uncertainty. But what followed left me deeply humbled. Not only did they accept the idea, they embraced it with a warmth and sincerity that I hadn’t anticipated.

What makes this even more special is the effort behind it. Understanding the essence of Raag, especially through the depth of the Awadhi language, was not an easy journey. For me, being familiar with Awadh and its linguistic beauty, it felt natural. But for the others—coming from different regions—it demanded patience, dedication, and an immense willingness to learn. And yet, despite these challenges, they gave their entire day, their full energy, and their hearts to this creation.

By the grace of Shri Sita Ram Ji, each of them has not only succeeded but created something that, in my eyes, holds even more value than my own contribution.

I offer my heartfelt gratitude to @seiji.writes @neilwritess @wordsofdiya__ who became a part of this journey. And to everyone reading this—may this reach you with the same devotion with which it was created.
