To be Truly Obedient

1 Samuel 15:22

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey us better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.”

Psalms 38 (NKJV)

Come to the Lord just as you are. Bring all of your burdens and emotions to his feet. Don’t be discouraged He wants you as you are. Jesus Loves You. When we are truly chasing after God despite all that hardships that is when we know we are truly after Gods own heart.

Judges 6: Gideon’s Faith or Lack Thereof

Have Faith! If God is for us whom shall we fear?!

Acknowledge how God also allowed hardship so that the people would return to Him and learn to depend on Him. Do not rebuke hardships but accept them wholeheartedly! Everything is for a reason and God works amazing things for us all! Trust in Him, especially in the bad, and don’t forget Him when things go good! Sometimes hard times are needed so that we can be refined by God.

1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

God has good plans and if it’s not good then He’s not finished yet. Trust His plans, for His plans are much greater than our own.

Psalms 103:11-13 (NKJV)

“For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.”

Matthew 15 Jesus Walks on Water (NKJV)

“Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying ‘it is a ghost!’ And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to the saying, ‘Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.’ And Peter answered Him and said, ‘Lord if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ So He said, ‘Come.’ And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying. ‘Lord, save me!’ And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’”

Matthew 8:5-10 (NKJV)

Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying ‘Lord my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘I will come and heal him.’ The centurion answered and said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.’ ‘For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: And I say to this one, ‘Go’ and he goes; to another, ‘Come’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.’ When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!’”

Remember not to let anything outweigh your faith in God!! He is capable do all things and sees all things!
