A visual representation of someone who definitely has her life completely under control. 😂

I think one of the funniest things about getting older is realizing that almost nobody actually has it all together.

Some of us have just gotten really good at looking like we do. 😅

I can spend my entire day solving problems, taking care of patients, supporting a team, answering a million questions, putting out little fires and making decisions…

…and then get home and stare into the refrigerator like I've never encountered food before because apparently everyone expects dinner AGAIN. 🤣

For a long time, I think I believed being good at what I do meant I was supposed to have the answer.

At work.
At home.
As a mom.
As a leader.
As a human.

The older I get, the more comfortable I've become saying:

“I don't know. But we'll figure it out.”

And weirdly, I think that's made me better at all of it.

Because maybe confidence isn't knowing exactly what you're doing all the time.

Maybe it's trusting yourself enough to know you'll figure it out when you don't. ❤️

📍When a workplace demands absolute conformity, it isn't creating harmony—it is enforcing silence. True team cohesion does not mean a room full of nodding heads or a culture wrapped in polite compliance. A healthy team isn't where everyone agrees; it's where everyone feels safe enough to disagree.

When you anchor your leadership in deep psychological safety, you build a sanctuary where vulnerability is celebrated and unique perspectives are fiercely protected. It takes a genuinely kind heart and a secure mind to welcome opposition without feeling threatened.

When employees know their voices carry weight—even when they challenge the status quo—the heavy burden of silent anxiety lifts, making room for vibrant good energy and real trust.

Innovation cannot survive in an environment of fear. It requires the beautiful friction of different viewpoints colliding in a space rooted in mutual respect. True leaders don't demand a chorus of consensus; they invite open, honest dialogue. By honoring diverse perspectives, you transform a fragile group into an unshakeable community bound by shared purpose.

It's chow time over here. 🦐🐌😂

Apparently all you have to do is drop food into the tank and the entire neighborhood shows up.

This is my version of must-see TV. 🤣
Anyone else find this weirdly entertaining to watch? 🍿👀

I asked Nova (my ChatGPT buddy) to create a caricature of me and my job based on everything it has learned about me over time.

And apparently, according to AI, I am:

🦷 45% dental leader
❤️ 20% educator
🧩 15% professional problem solver
☕ 10% coffee
🙋🏼‍♀️ 5% “Okay, I have ONE more question…”
✨ 3% Reiki
🐌 2% aquarium snail

…with Dentrix somehow occupying 37% of my emotional bandwidth despite not being allocated a percentage. 😂

But underneath the joke, I kind of love what it saw.

Someone who cares about people first.
Someone who wants patients to understand the why, not just say yes to treatment.
Someone who loves building teams, solving problems, growing practices and figuring out how to make things better.

And apparently someone who talks about teeth, leadership, Dentrix, coffee and snails often enough that an AI has developed a fairly specific opinion about her. 🤣

I feel simultaneously seen and mildly attacked.
But… it’s pretty accurate. ❤️🦷

In many traditional corporate environments, success is treated like a scarce commodity. We are subtly conditioned to view our peers through a lens of comparison, quietly calculating if someone else’s promotion, successful project, or sudden spotlight somehow diminishes our own professional standing.

This toxic, zero-sum mentality breeds a heavy atmosphere of silent anxiety and artificial rivalries, where people hoard knowledge and watch each other with defensive caution. But greatness is never a finite pie. Clap for others. Their win does not cost you yours.

Shifting from a mindset of scarcity to one of abundance is the true hallmark of transformative leadership. It takes a profoundly secure mind and a kind heart to stand up, look at a colleague’s triumph, and celebrate it with fierce, authentic enthusiasm. When you deliberately choose to champion the success of those around you, you shatter internal silos and construct an unshakeable sanctuary of deep trust and psychological safety.

Your vibrant good energy infuses the entire culture, proving that a win for one is an absolute win for the collective community. True high performance is unlocked when we stop competing internally and start completing each other. Lift your voice, honor your peers, and let unity drive your growth.

Teach your team how to trade competition for community and jealousy for joy. Start building a culture of radical support—order copies of my book, The Blueprint of Leadership, on Amazon for your entire team today—and let’s celebrate our way to the top together. taken in Somerville, New Jersey by @work_play_teeth_repeat

🌊Waves rise, change shape, crash, and disappear. Their existence is temporary, and in a constant state of flux.

And yet, they are not separate from the ocean. They ARE the ocean. When a wave is done expressing itself as a wave, it returns to the ocean from which it arose. It was never separate from it.

For so much of our lives, we move through the world believing we are separate - separate from each other, from nature, from the Universe itself. We identify with being the wave: living in a state of change and movement.

But in moments of stillness, meditation, deep presence, and surrender, something shifts. We begin to remember that we are not just the wave. We are the vast ocean from which the wave arises.

When we realize our true nature is not limited to this temporary form, life becomes less about defending the wave and more about trusting the ocean. We know that despite all of the fluctuations happening on the surface of our lives, that underneath everything is the abiding, constant, pure presence of the eternal ocean.

Connecting to this essence helps ease our pain and our suffering, and meditation is the bridge to take us there.

Thank you to @thichnhathanhgems for always sharing these wisdom gems!
