One of my favorites. @gracecarterkids, a children’s loungewear brand out of Philadelphia, PA coming out with their first line soon. ➖ Named after the owner’s children, Grace & Carter, the brand emphasizes classic daily wear for kids to feel comfortable in without worrying about grown up things like fashion trends and looking good for others. ➖ We agreed on my concept of an apple being the brand’s symbol, representing youth and the promise of growth in an everyday, yet expressively fruitful (pun intended) object. The secondary logo features a crest with a dove representing “Grace” and a cartwheel, representing “Carter,” whose name’s etymology derives from traders who brought their goods on carts to consumers. We concluded that the crest loosely means “Bringer of Grace,” which rang true for how the owner’s kids changed his life and inspired the brand. ➖ As a designer, the peak moments of my job are in creating emotions and conveying ideas, not just making up imagery. NYC creatives!! This #posterdesign is for an event on Saturday, 2/9 in SoHo supporting sustainable textile use in the fashion industry, curated by my friends Brooke and Esai showcasing the apparel line @sustainthelabel incorporated with urban dance brand #FeedTheSoul. Come through and hang out with fellow designers, models, dancers, and artists. ➖ To my creative Philly-NY heads, come by, check out their stuff, and catch a live dance performance while you’re at it! There will also be a photoshoot space to mess around and add some fun photos to your modeling portfolio. Finally rolling this out after over a month of development! San Diego-bred performing artist @roannmesina asked me to make her an icon of her most significant features—her bun, browline glasses, and hoop earrings—and some designs for her first apparel line. ➖ We ended up with these pieces! I designed a vectored, stamp style illustration of her image that can be used in many applications. Roann provided me with her signature to digitize for a classic design for her hoodies. ➖ I chose this pose to illustrate the ambition and positive energy she has with the moves she makes. I think she looks pretty ambitious in it. After much anxiety pre-reveal, she ended up agreeing and loving the work. Can’t wait to create more with her. by @workbygrayson

Had the pleasure and privilege of being a part of my @iamphresh_ family Mark & Shanika’s pregnancy announcement!🤰Put together these minimal illustrations for them after they told me they wanted to do a Run DMC-style album release promo for their due date. ➖ These kinds of projects are the most rewarding as an artist – to have the opportunity to spark emotion using design + user experience (them IG swipes to build excitement!) and of course being a part of their family’s story forever. ➖ Congrats to King & Queen Phresh (and Princess Jordyn) on the new addition to the PHAM!! After a tough week, sometimes digging in the vault and making something does the trick to get creative again. — This is old client work for an Outdoor Gear Brand concept called Angkorson Equipment. The brand is built on Cambodian family values and the importance of spending time in nature with your loved ones. — I personally think Asian representation in the Outdoors/Utility market is needed.
