Still reeling from the killer party last week at @spiritpgh - celebrating with this video taken by Abby Gleason at @wildblue.studio !!!

FUN FACT:
This song is about the free-fall feeling of early love, tumultuous like the wild winds out on the limitless sea where (according to folk lore) crow's were kept on ships to be released from the tallest mast during poor visibility because they fly directly towards land. Follow the crow and fall all the way in love!

CROW’S NEST /
Music by Working Breed /
Lyrics by Erika June Christina Laing /

I am up on deck
Lookin at the crow’s nest
I want to be there
That’s where
The world slows down
The horizon has no bounds
Feelings fly away
I’ve been there before
The swaying made me dizzy
But up far from the choppy sea
I feel
The world slows down
The horizon has no bounds
Feelings fly away like crows
But you know the crow finds land
Solid Ground
So I
Set the sails and climb the mast
A gust of wind blows past
Our hearts are made of glass
So let’s no go too fast Too fast
The world slows down
The horizon has no bounds
Feelings fly away like crows
But you know the crow finds land
The crow finds land

LYRICS:

Feels like the tower is crumbling down
Finally, I see what you’re all about
There’s no more confusion
I put my finger on
Your insides are all rotten
-
Hear all the words you say
Take you seriously
I have put my trust in you
To have my best interest in mind
Believe your dance and song

I know – I feel – Something’s wrong

Echoes are all around
They are all your voice
But you are not there
I claw through the air
But it’s just the dust of empty promises

Hold it in now
Don’t break down
Do not take the bait x4

I am torn
Limb from limb
Till I break

I see the writing on the wall
And the red flags. I’m appalled
That I indulged it all, put myself at fault
For so many shenanigans, believed again
Words without action.

Don’t ask me to run back into fantasy
I will say no

Music Mania was so wonderful!!! Father-daughter duo extraordinaire Eric and Juliette put together an amazing event with great bands, delicious foods, and cold beverages for everyone who came. The crowd was legit!! We even had our own cheerleading squad of two little girls who danced up front with pom poms the WHOLE set 🥰

A perfect day indeed!! Kudos to Eric and Juliette!! (And the building manager who let us throw this big public party AND mixed drinks all day!)
